1981 Flamingo 14X60 moble home by Redman homes.

I still have for sale a 1981 14X60 moble home made by Redman homes. In the last 10 years I lived here I’ve put on a new metal roof, new electrical panel and all newer appliances. Comes with 2 sheds 2 decks. Interior needs a little love but nothing major. Selling for 20k under market value for quick sale. Asking 45k I would take 40k if somebody wanted to move it, but it doesn’t need to be moved. This is a 55 and over community and final sale depends on being approved by the park manager first. 503 300 9291. Sorry pics still won’t load.

We are looking for a few people who would like to get some fake injuries (we call this moulage) so that our medical people have some people to work with. You would need to come to the Rex Champ Ballfield at about 11:30 – know ahead of time that this usually is a “hurry-up and wait” experience. The drill begins at 1- won’t be applying any moulage after that. No prior knowledge or experience needed! (Kids who would not be traumatized are welcome- most of the time they super enjoy the experience!) Please contact Jo Cooper if you can participate, or need more information. jo.cooper@evcnb.org

Conscious Aging and Community Connections June 8

Aging -in-Place.2; Decision-Making Tools
June 8, 2026. 2PM – 4PM
Pine Grove Community House
Manzanita

Attendees at our May Conscious Aging session engaged in a lively discussion about the pros, cons and complexities of Aging-in-Place in our own homes.

Participants shared ideas about what qualities of life they value most, now, as well as nearer end of life. We considered phases of aging as our abilities diminish and change. We compared the costs of aging in our homes, with possible in-home care, to the cost of assisted living facilities and nursing homes.

It became clear that all the aspects of Aging-in-Place could not be covered in only two hours.

By popular demand, at our June 8th meeting, we will continue our conversation about Aging-in-Place. This time, with emphasis on ways we can each make plans, based on our personal preferences, resources and our community assets and limitations.

Tela Skinner will facilitate the conversation. She will share an assessment tool she has developed that includes a questionnaire for self-evaluation of baseline preferences and abilities. Each person will be able to personalize the tool according to their own values, priorities, and current physical, emotional and mental abilities. The tool can be used to answer the questions repeatedly, as ones situation changes, or when it is time to reconsider our living situation.

Later this year we plan to hold a brainstorming session to identify opportunities for us to combine our time, energy, skills and resources to address individual and community concerns about aging in place.

We hope you’ll be able to join us for this engaging topic.

Your $5 donation supports the Pine Grove Community House.

Perch Makers Table | The Universe is Listening

Submitted By: katie@perchhandmade.com – Click to email about this post
I posted about Perch Makers Table not long ago and asked for your support. Today I’m back with something a little more… let’s just say the universe has been listening.

Close your eyes for a second.

It’s a rainy Tuesday in Manzanita. You push open a door and walk into a bright open space that immediately makes you want to sit down and make something. There’s a big communal table with room for up to twelve people. Someone is knitting on the sofa. A kid on vacation is painting something small and proud at the end of the table. Local art lines every wall… handmade, thoughtful, the kind of thing you pick up and can’t put down.

Nobody is rushing you. You just showed up. And that was enough.

That’s Perch Makers Table.

A curated artist collective where up to 50 regional makers can show and sell their work. A communal gathering place where you can bring whatever you’re working on and find a seat. Knitting, journaling, sketching, laptop open, just sitting with a friend while your hands stay busy… all of it welcome. Artist-led workshops. A place where locals and visitors overlap naturally and a rainy day becomes something worth remembering.

A place to create. A place to shop. A place to learn. A place to settle in.

A few people have asked whether this will include individual studio spaces to rent and work in. Not right now… but maybe someday. Right now this is about building something the whole community can walk into. Not just the makers.

Want to be part of building this? Support the space here: [http://perchmakerstable.com/]

Here’s my honest update on where things stand…

I have my eye on a space in Manzanita that feels exactly right for this. The owner has been warm, encouraging, and genuinely excited about what Perch Makers Table could bring to the building and the community. I’m meeting with her next week and I could not be more hopeful about where that conversation is headed.

I’ll be honest… I sent an email to my community just this week about trusting the universe and believing this is all unfolding exactly the way it’s supposed to. And then I heard from the owner the very same day. I don’t think that’s a coincidence.

This is a grassroots, community supported build. No big investors, no outside backing. Just people who believe in what this space can be for Manzanita and the Oregon coast. Every contribution goes directly toward opening the doors… the communal table, the artist displays, the welcoming space from day one.

If you’ve been following along and waiting for a sign that this is actually happening… this might be it.

Support Perch Makers Table and help open these doors [http://perchmakerstable.com/]

Artist Talk with Elise Wagner and Gabe Fernandez

Submitted By: visualarts@hoffmanarts.org – Click to email about this post
Join artists Elise Wagner and Gabe Fernandez for a talk and slide presentation about art, partnership, and place. Working side by side at the confluence of the Columbia River and the Pacific Ocean in Astoria, Wagner’s abstract encaustic paintings and collagraph prints explore layered natural systems, while Fernandez’s hyperrealist paintings capture the precision of light and observation. Together, they’ll share the story of how they met, became engaged in Paris, and built a shared studio practice, offering insight into the balance of independent vision, creative dialogue, and life on the Oregon Coast.
