wooden boat for garden bed or restoration

Submitted By: dylanleebarnhill@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
i am retiring my 14’ wooden boat and looking for a home for it. more likely as a garden bed or rain collector then a restoration. it is a fine boat and has been great for some years on the bay, still floats and is in alright condition, however it is too much work for me to rationalize restoring it this time around. needs a rebuilt transom and other work that i don’t have the time for. i would consider any reasonable offer.

thank you

Beautiful Large Area Rug 10×11

Submitted By: Anyalreeser@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Beautiful green plush area rug that was custom made for our previous home. Originally purchased for $2000, but it needs a good clean and a new home, so offering for $200 OBO. From a smoke-free, hypoallergenic pet home. No stains. Some wear and tear (see photo of edge where stitching has come undone). We LOVE this rug but it’s a bit too large for our space now.

Missing Female Tuxedo Cat

Submitted By: alayawyndham@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Hello Wheeler Neighbors,

Early this morning, our female tuxedo rescue, Wave, escaped our home. We live on SPRUCE ST. in Wheeler. Wave, just under 2 years old, is skittish and lives indoors, previously being too scared to venture more than a few feet outside of our house, and not without her twin brother Tide being there. It’s highly unusual that she’s gone far enough to go missing, so we are very worried. We have searched extensively on our property, and surrounding natural areas, including up and down Spruce St., and through the neighborhood. Wave is half of a deeply-bonded twin pair, and her brother is distraught about her disappearance.

If you live in Wheeler, and especially on Spruce Street, please keep your eyes peeled and ears open for meowing. If you are up for it, even check out potential hiding spots like bushes and sheds for us, we would be so very appreciative.

If you see her or think you see her, please CALL or TEXT Alaya: 206-618-9705 or Chad: 503-778-0174. We can also be reached by email: alayawyndham@gmail.com and cbash@rinehart.org.

She is micro-chipped. We have also cross posted on Facebook, and Instagram for sharing purposes.

Thank you for your help! Let’s bring Wave home!

Need Contact Info for Removal of Boulders and Soil for Water Line

Submitted By: nan@nanryderdesigns.com – Click to email about this post
Looking for recommendations for a reasonable quote on removing some large rocks/boulders and dig a deep hole about 10 feet long from water main to house to replace water pipe. Also interested in landscapers that have a back round in this sort of things because I also need two water gutter underground pipes add an additional right angle to divert waterflow away from boulders holding up the steep soil.

Please email me any suggestions or recommendations this would be most helpful for me! I’m in Wheeler

Directors Chair Covers

Submitted By: lane@nehalemtel.net – Click to email about this post
I ordered the wrong size replacement covers for my beloved directors chairs. Who knew they come in different sizes?!

These are 18.25 inches across with round sticks (as opposed to flat sticks which some have).

I have 2 burgundy and 1 with bright beachy fabric. Brand new – one still in package.

You are welcome to bring your chair by to be sure they fit.

chamber Orchestra concerts in June

Chamber Orchestra to Present June Concerts

The North Coast Chamber Orchestra will present two classical music concerts in June, their final performances of the 2021-22 season. This unique ensemble, under the direction of conductor Cory Pederson, is a group of dedicated North Coast musicians offering live classical music in local venues. Titled “European Enchantment”, these concerts will feature a varied selection of performances by soloists, string ensemble, and full orchestra.

The first concert will take place on Friday, June 3 at St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church (36335 N. Hwy 101, Nehalem, OR) beginning at 7:00pm. This is a beautiful and intimate venue, a favorite of musicians and audience alike. ALL audience members (children and adults) will be required to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 in order to attend this concert.
The second concert will be on Sunday, June 5 at Camp Kiwanilong (595 SW Ridge Road in Warrenton, OR) beginning at 3:00pm. Nestled just south of Fort Stevens along the shores of Long Lake, the Camp offers a secluded and private rustic environment for events. This will be an outdoor concert, and the Orchestra’s first performance at this venue.
Tickets will be sold at the door for both concerts. Admission will be: $10 adults, $5 students, and children under 12 (with adult supervision) free.
