Handy Person Wanted

~I am an elderly retiree and require help around the house with chores, especially outdoors. I cannot walk on uneven surfaces (moley lawn) and would like to make my yard easier to work in by: raking the winterfall, removing rocks from paths, cutting down 2 maple trees which drop most of the yard rakings before they leaf out (and haul the cuttings off), trim a few willow and other bushes, dig out and remove about 12 beach grass plants, and paint a skylight in the bathroom.
~If you are capable, I need a rotten portion of my porch railing replaced and painted.
~I have other jobs which can be discussed later.
~I have all tools, parts, wood and paints, but need you to have a method for hauling.
~I can pay around $25.00 per hour, depending upon the job. I would like the work done in a certain order, according to the weather and timeliness. I am a clean and orderly person and would like you to treat my home and property with that in mind.

I would like to meet with you if you can help. We may be able to form a routine relationship for monthly chores like mowing and trimming.

Thank you…emails only please for now

Cannon Beach Comedy Festival – March 17-18th

Submitted By: tolovanaartscolony@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Comedy is Coming to Cannon Beach!

The Cannon Beach Comedy Festival goes off March 17-18th at the Coaster Theatre.

Headliners include the nationally renowned Kyle Kinane and award-winning Brent Weinbach.

Tickets are on sale now at CannonBeachComedyFestival.com.

The bill includes Arlo Weierhauser and Shain Brenden, both of whom have been named “Portland’s Funniest Person.” For a full list of comedians, check out our website (and get tickets!).

On Kyle Kinane (performing Saturday, March 18th):
“Gruff energy and laid-back demeanor mask Mr. Kinane’s skills as a storyteller and joke writer,” wrote The New York Times, “{Kinane} is at his finest when dissecting the worst experiences of his own life.” The Times continued that Kinane’s “bawdy vibe belies his undercover-sweetheart material,” adding: “Kinane’s a master of the pitter-patter refrain, which he deploys to develop a consistent rhythm throughout his act” equaling a “perfected illusion of casualness.”

Regularly touring the U.S. and beyond, Kinane has recorded comedy specials for Comedy Central, Netflix and more.

On Brent Weinbach (performing Friday, March 17th):
Weinbach is a recipient of the prestigious Andy Kaufman Award, recognizing innovative voices in comedy. He has appeared on “Conan,” Comedy Central, Cartoon Network, IFC, and more, as well as created viral internet sensations on his own YouTube channel.

L.A. Weekly called Weinbach “obscenely, disturbingly brilliant.” Time Out NY added that his work is “weird in the best way.”

The Cannon Beach Comedy Festival is produced by the Tolovana Arts Colony, a long-running coastal nonprofit. The event is made possible by a grant from the City of Cannon Beach’s Tourism and Arts Fund.
The Coaster Theatre is located at 108 N Hemlock St in Cannon Beach, OR.

Meet the Cast: Juli Stratton as Stanley

Juli made her acting debut last year in ‘Arsenic and Old Lace’ and has served as a Foley artist in ‘Dracula’ and ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’.

Juli has been a regional LGBTQ+ advocate and educator for over a decade.

Feel really good for at least a MONTH, by donating to either one or more of the organizations listed below. And then once that month is over you can feel good about yourself-all over again-by donating the next month! All these organizations need cash, some need clothing for both adults and children. What can you do-$10/month, $25/month, or, just what can you do? And then there is the clothing. Please just go clean out your closets. Coats, sweatshirts, sweatpants, hats, pants, and tops, whatever you have will make a substantial difference in people’s lives and how they feel-besides staying warm. How about some clean blankets?
Please do what you can to help others in our community. The rewards are enormous!

WANTED LONG TERM RENTAL

Submitted By: kerryiallen@hotmail.com – Click to email about this post
WANTED LONG TERM RENTAL OR LONG TERM HOUSE SITTING OPPORTUNITY

Still searching……….

I am searching for a long term rental, preferably or a long term housing opportunity, as in house sitting.

Long term rental – 1 bedroom, (2 bedrooms would be ideal) 1 bath and possibly with a garage, in the tri-village area. I am 63 years young female, on a fixed income and I have one precious kitty who is 17 years old. Both Mercy and myself would take great pride in keeping the property in excellent condition. Great rental history with previous owners and current owners. References available from previous property manager at Along the Coast Properties.

I recently lost the opportunity to continue renting the previous long term rental for 13 years because new owners plan to renovate the two unit property.

Or perhaps there is someone out there who is in need of having their home occupied and taken care of, such as through a long term house sitting arrangement because of infrequent visits to their home?

Any leads would greatly appreciated.

Please feel free to email me with any information concerning these two options.

Thank you
Kerry and Mercy
