Rising Hearts Studio Open this weekend

Hello BBQ community-
Rising Hearts Studio will be open today and tomorrow 11-4. The store is open and full of beautiful gifts for your loved ones- self care options, crystals, jewelry, candles, art and more

Also, as mentioned all week, you are welcome to come sit and be within a safe, supportive, and loving container – I have no counselors available this weekend, but I do have hot tea ready, comfy chairs and plenty of hugs to give.

And, Sacred Scream Session is tomorrow morning-
We will meet at the beach, laneda entrance at 9 AM
Anger is a very valid, and normal response to tragic loss- it must be felt, witnessed, released- please join us for a community expression of anger- to yell, wail, scream within a container of love and support
All are welcome

At this special meeting the Local Contract Review Board for the Nehalem Bay Health District will consider the adoption of written findings in support of an exemption from competitive bidding and authorize a contract using the Construction Management/General Contractor (CM/GC) alternative contracting method for construction of the Nehalem Bay Health Center and Pharmacy.

Written requests for a public hearing on the decision may be submitted in writing to Nehalem Bay Health District, 278 Rowe St. (PO Box 6) Wheeler, OR 97147 prior to the meeting.

We have a counselor here again this morning until 1 PM- please come in if you need support

Now, I want to talk a little bit about anger. Anger is a normal, very valid emotion, that comes with grief and loss….. especially with unexpected and unexplainable loss.

Anger needs to be felt, to be expressed, to be witnessed, to be released…..

There will be a Sacred Scream Session on Sunday morning at 9 AM, on the beach. We will meet on the end of Laneda, in Manzanita

Please join us, to scream, to cry, to wail- to release some of our anger…..within a safe, supportive and loving container.

Sacred scream session starts at 9AM Sunday, the 24th, at the end of Laneda – the studio will be open immediately after, for tea and community

And Rising Hearts Studio will be open and available as a safe space for our community indefinitely- if I’m in the building, door is always open to you

You do not have fo grieve alone!!

Sharla Still Needs Support!

Hello ALL
Thank you for your support of Sharla this last month. It has helped tremendously.
But, Sharla is not safe or secure yet! While she continues to work towards permanent shelter, she has been essentially living out of her car. She also lost her employment and income. And even in the midst of her own struggles, she has been supporting the community in their grief, especially the family of Lee Blackmon- making sure they have support, food, etc…..and now her car, her main lifeline has failed. She is now homeless and carless!!!!
So, I am going to ask you for more. Please make a new donation, and/or share this fundraiser with everyone possible. I know we as a community can help support her, as she has been supporting others. Every dollar helps!!

Due to our lack of storage space, the Nehalem Hope Chest asks that you kindly hold off on bringing in anymore Christmas decorations until October. Box them up with a note that says ‘donate’ so they’re all ready to go this fall. Or share with your neighbors. Everyone needs a little kindness and joy this season. Rising Hearts Studio – Community Support Available; Winter Solstice

Hello BBQ Community-

I plan to continue offering Rising Hearts Studio, as a safe space to be, for those that need it, for as long as needed. The doors of the studio are wide open. Please come to sit quietly, or cry, wail and scream, or share stories, or have some tea, be with others, receive hugs, whatever you need.

We were able to coordinate to have a counselor here today, Thursday, from 1-4PM, and tomorrow Friday (time TBD)

Shock, anger, sorrow, sadness, denial, depression ….pain
All of it is valid, and needs to be felt
Please be gentle with yourself and everyone you meet….

Lee Blackmon, his light and his spirit were a golden thread that wove through the fabric of our community – his loss is unimaginable- you don’t have to grieve alone.

PS- We will still be celebrating Solstice today with specials and treats, 12-5PM, but with a slightly muted tone
