It’s time to hire some help! Here’s what we need:

Part-time counter help – 2-3 days a week. Able to use Square cash register system, take orders, scoop ice cream – generally representing the front of the house. Need to be knowledgeable about our products and excited about selling them. $16 hour plus tips.

Prep Cook – this would work well if you have kitchen experience, knife skills and also want to help up front. This would then be a full-time, year-round position. Your salary would increase depending on your skill and experience.

Would you like to be my co-worker at Jupiter’s Books? Does your work experience make the idea feel practical as both a business opportunity and a means of personal growth? I need a part-time collaborator who knows books and is interested in all aspects of the trade. This includes oversight of a brick-and-mortar retail space, online sales development, plus the procurement of new, used, and collectible inventory. Pay starts at $17/hour. Currently I need someone for two days a week, but this could increase over time.

I need a ride to Portland from Nehalem/Manzanita on Sunday, March 13th. The buses here on the coast don’t work for my schedule (I need to get to the airport for a flight). I will be replacing my sister''''s manufactured home with a newer, smaller one in May, so we are hoping to find someone who has a vacation trailer/small rv, that is not being used and could make someone some income for a couple months. The site is right off hwy 26, flat, easy access, no wear and tear, next to a barn with power and water. She would need it for May and June. Very responsible lady! Thanks for considering! I am soon moving my Tiny Home and my trailer brakes need inspection and fixed if needed. Can anyone help me, or point me to someone who can. I will pay for your traveling to Netarts and a fair wage for your time.
If the tiny house mover arrives and the brakes aren''t working properly, if could create great problems for me financially.

Friends of Netarts Bay Watershed, Estuary, Beach, and Sea (WEBS) is looking for a part-time Administrative and Program Assistant to help support the operation of the organization and its education and stewardship-based programs. Successful applicants must be able to take on everyday tasks such as answering emails and communicating with the public, assisting with office tasks, and assisting with marketing and program logistics. The position is open until filled. Applications review will begin Feb 28, 2022. Ideally, the chosen candidate will start in March 2022. Friends of Netarts Bay Watershed, Estuary, Beach, and Sea (WEBS) is a small 501(c)3 non-profit working to sustain the Netarts Bay area through education and stewardship. We strive to offer opportunities for k-12 students as well as the general public to learn, engage in science and take action to preserve the watersheds, estuaries, beaches, and seas spanning from Cape Meares to Cape Lookout. WEBS is made up of passionate volunteers and staff with a variety of skills who love the outdoors, science, education, and our local area.

Help Needed to replace cedar wall siding – approx. 600 square feet

Seeking: Labor and skill to replace and repair the south wall of our home in Pine Ridge Manzanita. 600 square feet of cedar shingles need replacing. We have 7 bundles of cedar shakes and will supply all other materials you require. We seek at least one experienced installer plus a second helper to remove existing shakes to help with the replacement. Good weather is required for at least 3 or 4 days – a weather-sensitive project. Payment on performance, guaranteed. A fair daily rate charge for this project is expected.

It’s still winter!

Do you have any extra coats that you can share with your neighbors? The Winter Coat Drive is sponsored by the Nehalem Bay United Methodist Church and the North County Food and Clothing Bank.

Please donate coats, rain gear, hats, scarves, and gloves so we can keep everyone warm. We can also use blankets and sleeping bags. Special bonus points if you can donate size 10 or 11 mens work boots!

I am looking for the your FAVORITE Apple Tree (disease resistant varieties) and anything else(plum, pear,fig,cherry) that you would HIGHLY recommend in the Nehalem village neighborhoods. ( It is just different enough near the coast and even in the Nehalem valley)
