thanks, as always, to BBQ!
I just recently moved to Manzanita from Portland and I’m happy to be here!
I’m looking to rent a small office or desk space where I can work remotely during the business week.
Currently, I work full-time for Nike as a Color Designer for Running Footwear. During the last two years of the pandemic, I have worked remotely. I occasionally make a day trip to the Nike campus in Beaverton to work with my teammates.
The nearest co-working space I could find online is located in Astoria. I’d love to find something a little closer to the community where I’ll be living (within 40 minutes of Manzanita).
I’m open to creative ideas for workspace options — a local business or office with an extra room; a tiny house, shed, yurt, or RV; an office in someone’s home while they’re out of town, etc. If applicable, I’m happy to caretake (ie. plants and pets) while renting the space.
Ideally, I’m searching for a workspace that has:
— privacy (preferably a door to close while I’m on Zoom calls)
— a desk and chair (or space for me to bring my own desk and chair)
— reliable access to WiFi
— space for a small filing cabinet to leave materials overnight (will stored beneath my desk)
I’m hoping to rent the workspace 4-5 days a week from 9 AM to 4 PM. That said, my schedule is flexible depending on the availability of the space.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions or recommendations you may have.
Thanks!
Mica Russo

The Nehalem Bay Garden Club can use them for our annual plant sale on May 7th. (And you can get new plants here for that space you have made at prices below commercial nurseries!)
If you do and you are able to dig and transport them, please label them and bring them on Saturday, March 12 till 1:00pm to 43080 N Fork Rd (where N Fork Rd meets Hwy 53 and the site of our May sale.) There will be a tarp in the yard where you can put them. We will pot them up so you can bring them in plastic bags or other temporary shelter. You can also bring any pots you no longer want.
If you are not able to dig and/or transplant, please send an email to barbaraandchuck@nehalemtel.net and we will figure out how to get your babies to give them a new home.
Thank you!!
Proceeds from the Garden Club sale are given back to the community. In past years we have supported Alder Creek Farm, Hoffman Gardens, Food Roots, North County Food Bank, Nehalem Grade School garden, and Nehalem Bay United Methodist Church food pantry among others.
The Nehalem Bay Garden Club normally meets on the 4th Tuesday at 1:30 and we hope to start meeting again in person soon. Our main event is the annual plant and we have fun learning, getting our hands dirty, going on field trips (Covid permitting) and sharing stories, knowledge and food together all throughout the year. If you would like to join us please send an email to barbaraandchuck@nehalemtel.net

They are looking for an experienced house cleaner that is licensed to work in Manzanita. There are approx 3 houses that are rentals, and one family house. These houses are each owned by different people so the cleaner will probably have to meet with each owner.
Please email me at koleagirl@gmail.com if interested in all or maybe one some of them.
Thanks
CC
Thanks!

Tasks vary and may include:
1. Typical household cleaning duties such as:
1. Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, laundry, removing trash, etc. bedding, etc. Could also include
2. Organizing, gardening, errands if it worked for both sides.
Searching for these Qualities:
1. Self-motivated and hardworking
2. Reliable and trustworthy
3. Good Communication and responsible
4. Thorough independent worker
5. Cleaning experience
Note: In the past, I have worked with full-time parents, students, and/or individuals who need the flexibility to raise a family, while also working.
I am able to provide year-round work if we work well together. I have good relationships with previous workers.
Bottom line: Coming from someone who worked in housekeeping for many years, I know what you want to be treated well and with respect.
