Manzanita Farmers Market Needs Volunteers

Submitted By: jamietaylormassage@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Hi local friends! It’s your friendly neighborhood volunteer recruiter for the Manzanita Farmers Market. We have had an amazing early season crew that has been consistently showing up week after week to help set up or break down the market! Yay! The market goes from empty field to full service farmers market and back to empty field again in a matter of hours. This involves a quick bunch of hauling of signs and tents and tables and chairs. We could not do it without our volunteers! The amazing folks who have been showing up every week are gone for most of July. We need some more amazing people to participate! And the more the merrier! Many hands make light work! Please be in touch if you’ve got some muscle and some time on Fridays starting this week. There is a set up shift from 2:45-4 and a breakdown shift from 6:45-7:45. Thank you! You can reply to my email here or at VolunteerManzMarket@gmail.com

ISO Yarn Ball Winder

Submitted By: dawnalexeast@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Hi there! I’m picking up crochet again after years of not doing it. I had a yarn ball winder years ago, but it either got given away or lost. I’m willing to pay for one, but most of everything somewhat affordable is sold on Amazon. Which I simply refuse to give money to.

If there are any knitter’s, crocheters, spinners, etc out there with an extra or simply one they don’t want anymore, I’d love to give you a bit of money for it.

Thanks for reading!

Looking for a forklift operator

Submitted By: ruhlbr@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Rockaway Beach resident looking for a licensed forklift operator for about an hour of work. Will be needed in the next couple of weeks (date still TBD), but hoping to find someone sooner than later so that plans can be made to rent forklift and set up work. More info to come for those interested that can run a forklift. If you have your own forklift, that would be even better as I will have to rent one once I find an operator.

Seeking multilingual nanny/babysitter/tutor for a toddler

Submitted By: bwhaley@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Hi all,

Our sweet two year old is learning language quickly, and we’d like to expose him to a second language sooner rather than later. We’re looking for somebody who is multilingual, enjoys spending time with children, and would be willing to spend some time with him each week. Our preferred languages would be Spanish followed by French, but we’re open to others as well.

If interested, please let me know your availability and rates.

If you’re not interested, but you have other local language resources to recommend, I’d love to hear about that too!

Thanks,
Ben

Mooring space for little boat in Nehalem Bay wanted

Howdy.

We’re looking for a spot here in Nehalem Bay to moor our little bay boat for the summer / fall. Long term and ideally, we’re looking for a spot to rent annually right here in Nehalem, but are open to the entire bay / estuary for now. The boat is 15ft, so not too large.

For those who don’t know us, my name is Justin Bailie and my wife is Ashley Mersereau and we live here in town (Nehalem). We both grew up in the area and have a small shop here in town (Wild Coast Goods).

Concerning the use of a dock, we’re both very respectful and responsible. Looking to rent space for a going rate and/or if there was a need, I’d be happy to work out a trade situation with my photography if you had a vacation rental and needed imagery, etc. You can see some examples of my work in my signature below.

Thank you for considering. Feel free to text me if you might have a spot.

Handyman Needed for Washer Repair

Submitted By: janbehrs@hotmail.com – Click to email about this post
I have a Samsung VRT washer. It stopped in the middle of a spin cycle and there was a burning smell. The internet says this could be as simple as needing a new belt. The appliance repair place I called told me that it could also be something more serious and I should just junk it and buy a new washer (it is likely 20 years old). However, I would hate to just dump it without trying to fix it, if the fix is as simple as replacing the belt. Do any handymen or handywomen out there know how to replace a belt in a washer and willing to do so? If it’s something more serious, OK, I can junk the washer. But if it’s just the belt, what a waste that would be! Repairing it would be so much more sustainable. Thank you.
