It is brand new, out of the box. Some parts are heavy. Theres an instruction manual and also a YouTube on how to put together.

Help wanted: facilities coordination & building maintenance

The Hoffman Center for the Arts is a community arts organization in Manzanita, and we’re hiring a contractor to coordinate maintenance for our building at 594 Laneda Avenue. This is a great fit for someone reliable, locally based, and comfortable with hands-on physical work indoors and outdoors in what can often be cold, windy, dynamic coastal weather.

Responsibilities include sweeping sidewalks, entryways, and the building perimeter; removing leaves, nests, needles, and debris from walkways, the porch, and parking areas; cleaning ground-level exterior windows and signage; emptying trash and recycling; and handling light landscaping.

You’ll also learn our building systems (HVAC, alarms, security, and others) and keep a careful eye on the property, flagging anything that needs professional attention like gutter, roof, plumbing, or electrical issues.

Other tasks include replacing interior and exterior light bulbs, removing spider webs from entryways and eaves, handling seasonal work like fall leaf removal and post-storm cleanup, coordinating with vendors during service visits, and letting us know when supplies need restocking.

We’re looking for someone who’s based nearby and can come to Manzanita regularly, has reliable transportation, and is self-directed and consistent.

Good communication matters; we need someone who can flag problems promptly, respond reliably via phone and email, and follow through.

This is a 1099 contract position at $25 per hour for roughly 2-3 hours per week.

Hi neighbors!
I’m dealing with some persistent moles tearing up my half acre property in Nehalem and need help. I’m looking for someone who traps and removes moles. Either a professional pest/wildlife control service or a skilled neighbor who does this kind of work.

If you know of anyone who comes out to the Nehalem area, I’d love a recommendation or contact info. Happy to pay fairly for the help!

Rocks for Raised Flower Bed

Looking for rocks similar to photo for raised flower/garden bed. Rocks should be relatively flat of various sizes but approximately 12″.

We are looking for about 12 tomatillo starts, but any amount will do. I usually start mine from seed but only 1 has shown any potential. We have called all the nurseries on the north coast and nobody has any. Does anyone local have any extra starts they can spare? Happy to pay for them. It will be a sad year if there is no tomatillo salsa in our bellies.. Thanks! Kirby

We are Courtney (34) and John (45). We are hardworking professionals relocating to the area and are looking for a home to rent. I’ve accepted a job at Fire Mountain School and will start in July. John is a carpenter, property caretaker, and woodworker artist.

Ideally we would like to find a home with a garage and yard space that is cat friendly. We have two indoor/outdoor mouser cats.

Hi! We are Cinna, Max, and our 13 yr old pup Arnie.

We are looking for a rental or house-sitting situation for anywhere between 3 months to a year, furnished or unfurnished. We have lived in the Nehalem area off and on for 5 years and are now planning to settle down here full time to be close to family. I will be working with Dr. Dawn at Graceful Waves and Max is an author.

Hoping to find something between Cannon and Rockaway to be close to work. We will stay with family initially so we have some flexibility in timeline, but would love to secure a home for the fall/winter.

Happy to answer questions and provide both local and rental references. I have ran Air BnBs before so if you have a work/live situation and need some assistance with property management, I would be happy to help. Gravel Driveway Maintenance

I have a gravel driveway on Highway 53 that I need some help dialing in. I had a bunch of rock delivered and spread with the delivery truck a month or two back, but it’s pretty thick in spots and needs to be “tuned up” a bit. Would like to get someone with a bobcat there to spread out the gravel and get it all evened out. It’s not a huge driveway so I doubt it’s more than an hour or two of work.

My name is Tim Roth, and my wife Laura and I are relocating to the Oregon Coast to teach for Neah-Kah-Nie School District. As we settle into the area this year, we are hoping to find a home to rent for the 2026–2027 school year.

If you might be heading overseas, traveling for an extended period, or simply need someone to take extremely good care of your home while you are away, we would love to help.
