Beginner Gardener

Submitted By: emilyanngage@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Hello!

I’m working on starting a family garden and am trying to do it for as low of a cost as possible. If anyone has non-chemically treated lumber or pallets (or even pavers) that you would would be willing to part with, we’d love to take them off your hands for use in raised beds! We are also in search of ANY kinds of non-invasive vegetable, herb, flower, or fruit seeds. We’re not picking when it comes to GMO/non-GMO/heirloom, just as long as it has a shot at growing in our local climate! Willing to pick up or meet up anywhere from Wheeler to Manzanita (we’re in Nehalem). Please reach out to me at the email above if you have any of these items you’d be willing to donate to our beginner gardening venture!

We would be willing to buy seeds, just trying to shoot for lower prices than the big-box stores offer for seed packets to save on funds.

Thank you!

Emily

Seeking RV spot for my father’s summer visit

Submitted By: lisa@digitalpour.com – Click to email about this post
Hello Community,
Seeking a spot for my father’s RV for June & July.
Hookups prefered but not necessary.
He is a very kind person, conservative and would prefer a quiet spot in nature over a crowded paved RV park.
20 minutes or so from Manzanita.
RV is 36 feet long with pull outs on both sides.
All leads appreciated!
Thank you,
Lisa Marcus 503-568-5632

I inherited a bunch of my mom’s CDs and find that my old trusty boombox is no longer willing to cooperate in that department. If someone has one laying around that I could have or borrow for a week so I can listen through them I sure would appreciate it! I could pay $10.

Thank you!

Wanted someone to pick up prescription in Portland or Beaverton

Submitted By: coastpost@abinemail.com – Click to email about this post
Hi, I have a new prescription medication that is located at my specialist’s office in either Portland or Beaverton (if I give advanced notice for that office). They aren’t allowed to mail it, and I don’t drive. I’m wondering if someone in the community is traveling to one of those cities and might be able to pick it up? Their Portland office is open Mon-Wed 8:30am-5pm (closed for lunch 12:30-1:30pm); their Beaverton office is open Tues-Thurs 8:30am-5pm (closed for lunch 12:30pm-1:30pm).
If you are traveling that way and might be able to pick it up, please let me know, it’d be much appreciated and there’s $20 in it for you. Please email me at coastpost@abinemail.com. Thanks.

SEEKING: Male Actor

Submitted By: whisperweald@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Seeking

Male actor, age 25 to “young 50,” to play ‘Robbie’ in upcoming Coaster Theatre’s upcoming production of Bloomsday, by Steven Dietz.
Director is flexible with rehearsal schedule.

A write up on the play in Chicago reviews:
“It’s the story of two people who met on one fateful day 35 years ago and then have not crossed paths since until the man, Robert, decides to seek out the girl he has never been able to get out of his mind, Caithleen. Discovering her whereabouts in Dublin, he writes to her, and they decide to meet. We watch that meeting intertwined with the story of their only previous day together, but it is not that alone that makes Bloomsday stand out. On that first day, Caithleen had told young Robbie that, like her mother who went mad, she sees past, present and future all at once, a “chord” instead of a sequence of notes. That chord forms the core of the play, in which the now older couple interact with and observe their younger selves as time periods blend together like Caithleen’s chord.

Bloomsday is a kind of a love story. It celebrates a could-have-been love between two people and a tender connection to a complex piece of poetic Irish prose, as well as an embrace of Ireland and an Irish way of thinking. It’s a beautiful play with sensitivity, empathy and a little touch of magic.“

3-Ring White Binders

Submitted By: Josie.jfm@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Do you have any 3-ring white binders, 1” to 2” wide, that you would be willing to donate to International Police Museum in Rockaway?
I think I have depleted all the area thrift shops. If you could drop them off that would be most awesome but I can pick them up if they are in Rockaway.

You will be helping me control the chaos I call my desk at International Police Museum, 320 Hwy 101-S.

Thank you so much, and please come visit after March 7 when we reopen!!
