High School students are invited to apply!

Hoffman Center for the Arts, the Lower Nehalem Community Trust and NCRD are looking for one additional summer camp assistant to help facilitate camp activities at LNCT’s Alder Creek Farm. Assistants will help keep campers (ages rising 2nd – 6th graders) engaged, safe and having fun with activities such as seaweed cyanotype making, berry picking, field games, creative challenges and scientific exploration. I am in need of some free or very reasonably priced large plant saucers to help keep my outdoor potted plants happy when I am out of town, I forgot to measure mine, but I would guesstimate the 18-25″ size and preferably a couple of inches deep. The lightweight clear plastic things will not hold up, but fairly sturdy plastics are okay. Crockery ones are wonderful.

BTW – the plastic oil drip pans that Dollar Tree sells in its automotive section make wonderful plant saucers for $1.25 (maybe $1.50 now). That’s less than places like Freddy’s sells those thin clear plastic ones, and they are much deeper. They are also great for dog food bowls, and starter trays for peat pots. But I need ones larger than that.
