Oliver Arnold as Ralphie:
Oliver Finch Arnold has had a passion for drama since he could talk! He loves wolves, Zelda, playing soccer, baseball, reading, and art. This is his 2nd performance with Riverbend Players after making his debut as the Young George Bailey in the holiday classic IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE. Oliver lives in Manzanita with his parents, his pup Saoirse, and his wolf Wander.

A CHRISTMAS STORY:
Humorist Jean Shepherd’s memoir of growing up in the Midwest in the late 1930s follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker in his quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun under the tree for Christmas.

Ralphie pleads his case before his mother, his teacher, and even Santa Claus himself at Higbee’s Department Store.

The consistent response: “You’ll shoot your eye out!”

“When I typed into my computer the poverty rate of our three cities” listed below, this is what came up. Now, I’m sure there are other statistics you can come up with when you type in the same, but for the sake of argument let’s just say these poverty rate percentages are pretty close to being correct.
“Manzanita has a 2023 population of 633. Manzanita is currently growing at a rate of 1.28% annually and its population has increased by 3.94% since the most recent census, which recorded a population of 609 in 2020. The average household income in Manzanita is $96,466 with a poverty rate of 8.41%.”
“The race least likely to be in poverty in Nehalem is White, with 20.48% below the poverty level. The poverty rate among those that worked full-time for the past 12 months was 3.82%. Among those working part-time, it was 0%, and for those that did not work, the poverty rate was 29.85%.”
“The average household income in Wheeler is $47,603 with a poverty rate of 15.38%.”
So, who are these people who live in poverty? I’m assuming some have families, some are older, and some are single-just like the rest of us…just like the rest of us. Hmmm.
OK, back to the information that will allow you to help with food security, not only at this time of year, but year around.

Bryonie made her acting debut in 12 ANGRY JURORS and is excited to be in her second performance with Riverbend Players. And she is overjoyed that in this production, she gets to play the part of the mother to her son, Oliver! Bryonie lives in Manzanita with her husband, son, and their puppy. She is passionate about art, animals, and weaving wonder back into the world.

She works for the Neah-Kah-Nie School District and coaches middle school sports. Meagan lives in Rockaway with her husband, Jay, and their two dogs, Rocky and Asha, and finds solace and joy in the sensation of sand between her toes.

A lifelong Oregonian with roots in the Portland metro area, Jeff is an enthusiastic hiker and pianist.

Along with his wife Lisa, Jeff shares a passion for traveling, camping, and exploring the wineries of Oregon and Washington.

Their family life is filled with joy as they spend time with their three adult children’s families and four wonderful grandchildren.

This marks Jeff’s debut with Riverbend Players and his first foray into the world of acting.
