We believe that if we put music in the hands of children, we provide a healthy way for them to relate and process what they are experiencing in their lives.“

Street Plowing in Manzanita

Submitted By: DebMuell503@aol.com – Click to email about this post
Huge shout out to the City of Manzanita for their prompt servicing of our city streets yesterday! I was amazed to find my street already plowed before I could even get out to check the weather! Coming from the Vancouver area, in which our neighborhoods were never plowed, I was so happily surprised to find that this was not the case here. The gentleman (perhaps more than one person?) who did the actual plowing around town, great job! Thank you so much! Our roads were safer to travel on, and the snow and ice melted more quickly as a result!

You probably have a library card to check out books at the Cannon Beach Library, but did you know you can become a member of the library too? It works a lot like a “friends of the library” group. Why not come to a meeting and “check it out”? March 1st, 10 a.m. 131 N Hemlock Street, Cannon Beach. Snacks, coffee, and speaker Deena Lindstedt, who will discuss her book “Lady of the Play.”

Beautiful Cat Looking for Home

Submitted By: Mindyc3756@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Meet Madre, an amazing multi-color indoor rescue cat! She is about three years old. She was displaced in Portland when her owner passed away. Madre is looking for a quiet home without dogs. Her personality is devoted, and a bit guarded (will be
fun and very rewarding to bond with her and become her special
person!). I am hoping to find her the perfect home where she can relax after the ordeal of being homeless with five babies. She has warmed up to my family, but is always a bit on edge due
to our young dogs. She loves warm sunny windows, chin scratches, playing with pom poms, and cat nip. Fully box trained and fit as a fiddle. She has been to the vet recently for a full check up. If you’d like to meet her please email! Thank you!
