By forbearance and perseverance we forge a new self out of the sharing with one another .
It might be a marriage, a friend at work, or the grocery store checker. Patience and caring will yield a sum greater than it’s two parts. Friendship isn’t just good, it’s critical to creating the advancement of human dialogues. Hence the philosophical meetings of olden times, when great minds would together and hammer out a shared vision of the world we live in and the conduct that could be considered desirable for the greater good.
In the final analysis, if the parts are in disarray, then the whole is without cohesion.
The whole should always be moving towards the force of good and truth. Then will human beings actually become “civilized”
In these vastly disparate times we need to come together and forge an understanding of what it really means to be human.

www.woodcraft.com/products/jet-air-filtration-system-model-afs-1000b
The Jet® Air Filtration System cleans and circulates the air in your shop while you work, filtering 98-99% of all particles, five microns in size and 85% of particles one micron in size. The Model AFS-1000B has 3 speeds: 550, 702 and 1044 CFM. At a rate of 1044 CFM, the system can filter the air in a 20′ x 20′ x 8′ shop in under five minutes, and filter the air in that size shop a dozen times an hour. Quiet running so it can be left on during work. And with the timer, you come into your shop, set the timer for two, four or eight hours and forget it. The system automatically shuts down at the time you’ve set. A remote control is included for convenience. The powder coated metal box is heavy duty. Fan and motor are also constructed for durability. Three pocket filter fits inside, and can be blown out or easily replaced without tools. Outer filter is a convenient standard size disposable electrostatic filter with a paper frame. Units are designed to be set on a workbench or hung from the ceiling, either tight against the ceiling or hanging from chains. Eyebolts are in place for hanging the unit. Two easy grip handles inset on both sides for ease of handling.

Land and water and sky form the basis for our experience on the Earth. Over the past three-plus decades, I’ve been painting more or less abstractly in encaustic and collage. And all this time, even since the mid-70s, I’ve also been painting landscapes in oil paints from observation, en plein air.
For this show, we’ve chosen plein air paintings done on the Oregon coast and two from Puget Sound. Most are fairly recent. One painting is from 2001: I had read a book about Monet’s method of painting on the edge of moment-by-moment seeing. To try this out, I rented a shack of a cabin in Oceanside and painted every day from the porch while a storm raged.
