Home for Sale

Submitted By: pangaeagaia@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
My home listed for sale by pangaeagaia@gmail.com has been taken off the market. Failure to find a lot on which to build my smaller home is my problem, but also the fact that I no longer have a place to rent for the duration of the build.

Thanks to all who were interested who took their time to visit the home. I appreciate your patience and understanding. Maybe by next year…?

Wheeler Council Hearing Tuesday May 24 at 7PM

Submitted By: janegeason@comcast.net – Click to email about this post
On Tuesday, May 24 at 7 PM The Wheeler City Council will be holding a hearing on the proposed development of Botts Marsh. This hearing comes as a result of a remand from Oregon’s Land Use Board of Appeals regarding previous votes by our City Council. Regardless of how the vote turns out, the result will have a significant and long-lasting impact on the economic future of our town. Some people say that the very existence of Wheeler as a self-governing entity is in jeopardy.

Among our townsfolk, there are strong opinions on both sides of the issue. And, to my way of thinking, that’s part of the beauty of small-town life. We are conservative and liberal, young and old, rich and poor, working and retired, outspoken and introverted. And it is this diversity that weaves together to make Wheeler the place we choose to live. Yet, it has been my experience that this diversity is not fully represented among those attending our Council meetings.

I encourage our Citizens to attend the meeting to learn first hand—instead of through rumor and innuendo—how and why our City Council rules on this issue. And, let us all try to remember that reasonable, well-intentioned citizens can, and should, agree to disagree respectfully.

2 year old Propane tank with about 1/3 full of propane – $25. Fully functional and up to date. (bought at Manzanita Lumber)

Scrap metal from Nextgo BBQ with some “stainless.” – Free. (I can’t remember the gentleman out on the North Fork who asked me to call him the next time I had scrap steel. I need to get rid of this no later than 3:30pm, Monday, or it goes to Cart’m.)

Bamboo and many warnings

Submitted By: Aqualineocean@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
In under 24 hours I received more warnings on here from people about bamboo than actually offering the bamboo itself. I appreciate the concern but be still, people! I have no plans to plant bamboo hither and tithes and watch it vigorously spread! Thanks for the worry, community. I found some bamboo from several people and plan to put it in metal watering troughs to keep it contained. No bamboo apocalypse, I promise.

Car

Submitted By: acwolf05@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Hello,

I am looking for a car to use this week. It will help me get Ronan to school and me teach down south, and deliver garden kits for work. I am looking for a vehicle Tuesday-Thursday.

My car got stolen from a hotel parking lot near the airport a few weeks ago when I flew out to help my Mom transition out of the hospital. I have been looking around and have gotten close to finding a car, but so far do not have one yet.

So I am just continuing to fit the puzzle pieces together until that lines up.

I appreciate your consideration!
Thank you,

Ariel
