Let’s try this in a small town.

Submitted By: codger817@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Let’s try this in a small town/county, meeting once a week for a civil discussion. There will be a zoom meeting every Friday at 9AM for “reds”, “blues”, and “in-betweens”. So far, we’re limited to us 5 “blues” and we really would like some “reds” and “in-betweens”. “Blues” sometime stereotype “others” as stupid and evil. Not the right thing to do, but hard to stop unless “others” step up and represent themselves. Simple ground rules, 1. Everybody brings their best manners. 2. Nobody talks for more than 4 minutes at a stretch. 3. Nobody comes to win an argument or change somebody’s mind. 4. Listening is as important as speaking. I’d like to say this was all my idea, but I was inspired by option 5 of the Braver Angels “Rise for America” program. braverangels.org/rise/ Here’s the link for zoom meeting. If anybody is interested in different time/day contact Jim Heffernan at codger817@gmail.com

Opening Reception! Belluschi, White, Conley

Submitted By: info@cannonbeacharts.org – Click to email about this post
The Cannon Beach Gallery is proud to announce “Belluschi, White, Conley.” This exhibition features paintings by Chris Belluschi, Frankie White, and Martin Conley, on view July 28 – September 3, 2023. Artist Frankie White’s contemporary impressionistic style captures the spirit of the natural world. This current collection of 15 paintings is inspired by the varied landscapes of the north Oregon coast. These scenes and subjects are diverse, ever changing and always inspiring. This collection of sculpture by Chris Belluschi, is inspired by archaeological artifacts, in particular those of cultures in and around Mediterranean. These contemporary works evoke the profound beauty that can exist in objects far removed from their days of peak splendor. Martin Conley has been working with wood for over 40 years, both as a sculptor and a carpenter. Martin likes to fined misshaped and unusual pieces of wood, letting the wood guide the process to a finished product..
Join us Friday July 28, 2023 from 4:30 – 6:30 for our artist reception, meet the artists, enjoy refreshments, and view the new collection.
The Cannon Beach Gallery is open 7 – days a week from 10 – 4PM and located in Mid-Town Cannon Beach 1064 S Hemlock St. Cannon Beach, OR 97110. A 501(3)(c) nonprofit organization, CBAA was founded with the intent to bring a wide variety of programs to members of our community and to visitors to the Pacific Northwest coast.

And Friends will fix a bouquet for you.

Friends of North County Recreation District will be in downtown Manzanita selling flowers on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Taking Sunday and Wednesday off until we find more flower arrangers. Want to try your hand? It’s easy and will only take an hour out of your week. You don’t have to live here, just show up and we’ll put you to play/work with flowers. Arrangers start at 8 AM and we would like to have the flowers to the Deli by 9 AM. Bring your family and we’ll put all of you to work. All you have to do is arrange the flowers. The other arrangers are smart, funny, happy to help with your arrangements, and now and then we may answer some of life’s toughest questions-like what’s for dinner? So, have you got those days memorized-when we will have fresh flowers at the Deli? Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. And since you brought it up again there is something special going on Tuesday. Remember Tuesday is the day Chung and Judy, and all their fabulous employees have a discount day. Friends of NCRD have decided to join them with discounts at our flower table. You will see two prices on the flowers-you pay the lower price. And by the way, do you know Friends of NCRD takes Venmo at their table-exciting! Cash or check can be paid inside the store.

Helping with this project will bring you a lot of joy, knowing Friends Mission is to promote and support NCRD by raising funds for scholarships, programs, and projects at NCRD. Storage outdoor for RV or motorhome Rockaway Beach

Submitted By: diwax54@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
$100 a month or $25 a week. Payment at the time of parking the vehicles for storage.
This is a great spot for ‘STORING ONLY’. Space for storing is only for your RV, trailer, boats, campers, kayaks, canoes and vehicles. If you are planning on doing an extended vacation without your recreational vehicle’s or possibly snowbirds this ‘storage spot only’ is really convenient. This is outside in my yard and unlocked therefore it’s your responsibility to properly lock and secure. I assume no responsibility for loss or damage to vehicles left on the property.
This is storage for parking spots ‘only’. NO ‘living’ in while parked and stored.
I own the property and live here full-time. The street and neighborhood is crime free. All immediate neighbors have cctv cameras around their homes, property and premises.
I have attached photos of the location, and how much space is available for storage.
