What your furry companion wishes for you :)

Submitted By: Aplacetorejuvenate@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Your furry companion has a special message to share with you:

They’ve been closely watching the love and care you generously provide every day and are eager to express their gratitude in a unique way.

With their remarkable intuition, your pet believes that a Pauseful Massage would be the purrfect way for you to receive the care you truly need. According to them, when you’re relaxed, a deeper connection is felt, and joy fills the air.

While your pet would prefer to make the purchase themselves, they’ve kindly asked you to do it on their behalf. Visit www.Pauseful.love to choose the purrfect massage for you.

Your beloved pet wishes for you vibrant health, deep peace, and ecstatic joy during this holiday season.✨

Warmest regards on behalf of your pet.

Regarding the cancelled honey/syrup booth on Tuesday

Submitted By: jwmerc@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Hi folks – Jeff here from the honey/maple syrup booth – regretting the last minute cancellation of Tuesday’s (12/12) scheduled “pop-up” in Wheeler. Anyone who has followed my activities in Tillamook County over the years knows that backing out of a commitment is NOT my style. Realization of the need to make the change came too late on Monday to submit a post here on the BBQ.
If someone has specific needs PRE-HOLIDAY (gift or otherwise) they should reach out to me via text to my cell: 208-424-0042, by e-mail: jwmerc@gmail.com or by instant message on the JW Merc Facebook page (I may be able to accomodate delivery).
Otherwise – I will be back in the area come January – and should anyone be in the south Lincoln County area I am available roughtly five days a week there in downtown Waldport.
Have a great holiday season – and please accept my apologies if you were inconvenienced by the cancelled appearance…jw

Help with Holiday Food Insecurity

Submitted By: pattyrinehart@nehalemtel.net – Click to email about this post
Hello neighbors. At the end of this message, I’ve included something I got off the internet last week as a guide to help with food insecurity. That said every little bit helps.
I’ve called the Neah-Kah-Nie S.D. Superintendent’s office and found out there will be no food provided through the school system for the Christmas holiday. Kids will be out of school from December 16 through January 1. This means 16 days with no breakfast or lunch programs at school. Please do what you can to help feed these kids. Lots of things in our lives end. We have the end of a day or the end of the year-but no end to food insecurity. So, let’s pitch in and all do what we can to help with this problem.

I want to provide you with some addresses where you might send money or donate food over the holidays. Nehalem Senior Lunches can be reached at 503-368-5612 or PO Box 156, Nehalem, Oregon, 97130. This would be for Senior Lunches provided on Tuesday and Thursday.

Meals for Seniors located in Rockaway Beach, PO Box 852, Rockaway Beach, Oregon, 97136. Free lunches are provided on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

North County Food Bank, PO Boxx 162, Wheeler, Oregon, 97147. Remember they also have a clothing bank.

Rockaway Beach Lions, PO Box 611, Rockaway Beach, Oregon 97136. Lions will be providing Christmas dinners for several families.

The CHILD Program run by the Nehalem Bay United Methodist Church is providing clothes and toys for many children for the holidays. It’s getting a bit too late to shop now, but they could always use cash donations. Please be sure to write CHILD on your check. Address is Child Program, PO Box 156, Nehalem, Oregon, 97131.

OK, here is the list I got off the internet:

1. Everyone donates Kraft Mac and Cheese in the box. They can rarely use it because it needs milk and butter which is hard to get from regular food banks.
2. Boxed milk is a treasure, as kids need it for cereal which they also get a lot of.
3. Everyone donates pasta sauce and spaghetti noodles.
4. They cannot eat all the awesome canned veggies and soup unless you put a can opener in too or buy pop tops.
5. Oil is a luxury but needed for Rice a-Roni which they also get a lot of.
6. Spices or salt and pepper would be a real Christmas gift.
7. Tea bags and coffee make them feel like you care.
8. Sugar and flour are treats.
9. They fawn over fresh produce donated by farmers and grocery stores.
10. Seeds are cool in Spring and Summer because growing can be easy for some.
11. They rarely get fresh meat.
12. Tuna and crackers make a good lunch.
13. Hamburger Helper goes nowhere without ground beef.
14. They get lots of peanut butter and jelly but usually not sandwich bread.
15. Butter or margarine is nice too.
16. Eggs are a real commodity.
17. Cake mix and frosting makes it possible to make a child’s birthday cake.
18. Dishwashing detergent is very expensive and is always appreciated.
19. Feminine hygiene products are a luxury and women will cry over that.
20. Everyone loves Stove Top Stuffing.
21. Diapers
22. Wipes
23. Buns
24. Baked goods
25. Potatoes
26. Nuts
27. Seeds for eating or cooking
28. Raisins
29. Dishwashing pods
30. Rags and cleaning supplies
31. Pet food
32. Pet supplies
Thank you all!

IN SEARCH OF A 1970s ERA KITCHEN STOVE FOR OUR NEXT PLAY

Submitted By: fsquillo@riverbendplayers.org – Click to email about this post

Hi!
Riverbend Players needs a stove from the 1970s for our next production.

The popular colors back then were avocado green, yellow, and brown. It’s a very Brady Bunch-looking stove.

I’ve attached a picture as an example of what we’re looking for.

It doesn’t have to work, and we could return it after production.

If you don’t have one, please ask around for us. We’d appreciate the help!

Thank you, and Happy Holidays!!!

Ralphie pleads his case before his mother, his teacher, and even Santa Claus himself at Higbee’s Department Store. The consistent response: “You’ll shoot your eye out!”
All the elements from the beloved motion picture are here, including the family’s temperamental exploding furnace; Scut Farkas, the school bully; the boys’ experiment with a wet tongue on a cold lamppost; the Little Orphan Annie decoder pin; Ralphie’s father winning a lamp shaped like a woman’s leg in a net stocking; Ralphie’s fantasy scenarios and more.

Seeking Manzanita Branches

Submitted By: Natasharae612@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Hi neighbors,

I’m hoping to find a few strong Manzanita tree branches to build a perch for a large parrot. Hoping to find enough to make a a couple stands/perches around the house. If anyone has access and wouldn’t mind me cutting a few, or even some already cut, I would be so grateful. Other types of wood we are interested in are; elm, poplar, ash, maple, walnut and apple. Although I think I already have apple branches covered. Thanks in advance!

Contemplative Dance Practice is a meditator’s dance hall or a dancers’ meditation hall, this practice provides opportunities to develop awareness of inner and outer rhythms, deepen mindfulness disciplines, and provide a container for cultivating acceptance of what is arising in the body.
We will arrive together and settle in with music opening and warming up the space.
We will then do a short sitting meditation before entering into Personal Awareness Practice and then Open Space where we encourage kinesthetic delight and a growing curiosity for what is unfolding for ourselves first and then others.
We continue listening deeply to the movements of the breath and consciously trust our own not knowing.
Near the end of our session we will explore spontaneous composition in the Red Square Practice where a thick red rope is laid down on the floor, our gaze rests with the room and the Square. Nothing much is happening. Just waiting. Then something comes. Like a fish leaping from water, we see in our minds eye a glimpse of our self in a still posture in the Square. We rise up, walk into the Square, and inhabit what we see.
We will end with music guiding our way to a warm closure and a short closing circle with each person who wishes to speak expressing what they experienced and what they saw.

We dance every Thursday (and once a month Sunday)…hope to dance with you soon.
