Art in the Manzanita Library

Submitted By: susantone@nehalemtel.net – Click to email about this post
Manzanita Artist Kim Rosenberg will be displaying her at work at the Manzanita library in July and August.

“I like to make things that leave my mind free to wander and my hands busy”, says Kim.

“When I collage imaginary gardens and animals from wool felt and embroidery floss, I don’t use a pattern. I cut shapes free hand and put them together over time before I start to stitch. I like the feel of the felt and the rich colors available. I like how a few simple stitches can create details and depth.”

“Making a collage with existing images from books and magazines is a much faster process but similar for me. I cut out and place images together in imagined landscapes where babies can fly and people of many different cultures, countries, ethnicities, and time periods all exist at once.”

In this show collages were made from up cycled images taken from 1940 – 1960 National Geographic magazines Kim found at the Manzanita Recycling & Transfer station. The felt pieces were stitched “during the long rainy days of winter.”

Art in the Library is sponsored by North Tillamook Library Friends.

Hi! I’m looking to get my deck stained. I’ve recently gotten it power washed in preparation for staining. If you, or someone you know, provides this service, please contact me via text/call at: 503-830-1855 to set up a viewing and give bid, or referral. I’m located in Manzanita and would like to get the project done by early August if time and weather allow. Thank you! Debbie

2000 Toyota tundra with 225,000 miles.

$6,500

This is a nice old truck that runs like a champ.
The rear differential needs replacing. The estimate is around $1000.
It drives ok now. I no longer need the truck for why I bought it and want to make room in the garage where it’s sitting now.

Rockwell 10 inch Contractor Saw

Submitted By: Yooper124@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
This saw and the motor are frozen. The top is cast iron. I used it in my custom finish carpentry business and it served me well. When I moved here in 1988, I had no place to keep it and the coast air took over. I do believe that the saw itself could be loosened up. Project? Scrap metal? You pick.

Top of the Line Mobility Walker

Submitted By: k.r.yurka@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
My husband used this walker to assist with his stability and mobility with Parkinson’s for just over a year. If you’re looking for equipment that is sturdy and really helps with “freezing” this is for you. When stopped, the wheels will not roll so the user is very safe! Please look at the In-Step Mobility website – it explains better than I can how it works:
www.ustep.com/standard-u-step-2/

Ours includes the laser line and sound cueing enhancements – all the bells & whistles. For info on how the enhancements work: www.ustep.com/laser-sound-cue-for-u-step-2/

It has been used almost exclusively indoors, so no significant wear & tear on the brakes, wheels or seat. The cueing module uses 2 AA batteries. It accommodates users 4’10” to 6’2″, and up to 355 lbs. It flattens easily to stash in the car, but it’s heavier (21 lbs) and longer when flat (42″) than a standard aluminum walker, because its steel and aluminum (therefore super sturdy!)

I paid $979 in March 2023. I would love to get $500 for it if it’s going to someone with means to pay easily. I’ll consider $300 for someone with limited resources.

Check out the website, then TEXT me if you’re interested. I’m happy to demonstrate the bells & whistles.

It’s 4’1″ x 2’7″ x 1’7″ (49″ x 31″ x 19″)

It’s all yours for $50 OBO. Would like it gone this week! ~ Text Karen @ 503-475-Zero97Five.
