Just a reminder of the Protest in Nehalem on October 4th, Saturday, from noon to 2 PM. Come when you can and stay as long as you like. This looks like a very busy weekend for local events.
The North County Resistance group organizes these peaceful protests to advocate for positive change in our community, promoting justice, equity, and neighborly support. We invite all community members—both regular participants and newcomers—to join us in making a meaningful impact together.
Bring your signs, your chairs, your positive attitude, and a couple of cans of food for our local North County Food Bank. And yes, checks and cash are greatly appreciated. We generally have someone from the Food Bank at the Protest, and they take the food to Wheeler every Tuesday morning.
The North County Resistance group would appreciate everyone attending these Protests to know it is our intention to keep all our activities safe, peaceful, and orderly. You will see some people wearing orange vests at the Protests. If there is any problem, you should contact these people and let them solve the problem. North County Resistance does this to keep everyone safe. We want you to be calm and stay calm—and be a team player when you come to protest. Please listen to the people in the orange vests. They may ask you to not cross the road in the middle of Hwy. 101 but to please use the crosswalk—simple concept, right? They may ask you to not have your sign too far out onto the highway, which might hamper a driver’s line of vision. Lots of these things are common sense, but if there is a moment when things begin to unravel, please listen to the people in orange vests. No, we have not had anything unravel at these Protests. We may practice on this coming Saturday to see what we might need to work on for the BIG NO KINGS event on October 18, in Manzanita.
We need more volunteers to serve as Marshalls at the October event—these team members play a vital role in keeping everyone safe and organized. If you’re interested in helping out, please contact me, Patty, at 503-368-6081 or speak with me at Saturday’s protest. Your support makes a real difference!
The website below is all about Safety at the Protests. Thanks very much for listening.

Friends gathered last evening to recognize M.J.’s generous gift, a gift that has led to many more local and Oregon artists donating work for the new Health Center.
Join us on Saturday, October 4 at 1:00 pm to celebrate the dedication of the new facility, have a tour and see how the work of so many talented artists makes the Health Center even more attractive for patients and staff.

But in my view, this troop deployment is about Drumf and Fox News Pete, Secretary of Treason, doing the bidding oil, bomb-makers, and bankers, also known as the military industrial complex.
Drumf and Pete are about to attack Venezuela and Iran (for Israel), with an escalation of NATOs war against Russian waiting in wings. That’s the most likely reason the guard is being sent to Wokeland in my view, as the city is quite quiet other than woke-legislative street crime problem.
Again, if extreme violence shows up, look to Soros agitators and traitorous J6-type feds. Anitfa punks too, but 100% antifa is infiltrated by J6-traitorous fed-types.
Most genuine antifa are pathetic punks, and the right knows this.
Yesterday, Drumf wrote on his Lies Social acct:
“We’re only going in because, as American Patriots, WE HAVE NO CHOICE. LAW AND ORDER MUST PREVAIL IN OUR CITIES, AND EVERYWHERE ELSE!”
THE PRESIDENT LIES!!!!!!!!!!! GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!!!!!!!!!!! FASCIST REGIME!!!!!!!!!
EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN EPSTEIN!!!!!!!!!!!
LAW AND ORDER MY ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Epstein is a Drumf problem, but actually more of a democrat problem: Clinton, gates, Chomsky, New Mexico gov Ricchardson, and Senate Intel head Wyden runs cover with his limited hang-out Epstein ;investigations’ that he seems to have dropped.)
GAZA GAZA GAZA GAZ GAZA!!!!!!!!!!!! (WAR CRIMES/GENOCIDE). LAW AND ORDER MY ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Also a two-party problem)
BOMBED IRAN?????? TREASON TREASON TREASON!!!!!!!! LAW AND ORDER MY ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
STARTING A WAR WITH VENEZUELA????? TREASON TREASON TREASON!!!!!! LAW AND ORDER MY ASS!!!!!!!!!! all linked by….Israel. just sayin.
HEY DRUMF! GO BUILD YOUR 200-million dollar ballroom and get the hell out of Oregon you anti-American fake-christian MAGA FRAUD!!!!!!!!!
And to the Oregon National Guard members! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!!!!! SORRY IT’S TAKING THIS FORM!!!!!!
We all know you would rather be home in Medford or wherever with your families, awaiting an actual emergency, which is why ya’ll signed up in the first place.
Anyway, thank you, and I hope you can enjoy our food carts and strip clubs, they are world-class!
BONUS!
Anti-war film about Iran, produced in part by Chuck who helped start this website:

It looks like it’s going to be a beautiful fall day- just perfect for pressing apple cider and celebrating the autumn together.
There will be apple treats, kid’s art projects, fresh apple juice, an apple tasting – a great time to spend with the community. Bring the whole family!
Entry is free. Donations gratefully accepted for food, drink and apple trees. All proceeds support the work of the Grange in maintaining our beautiful building and continuing to host wonderful community events like this one!

And that is video “talking points” he can use in his war of rhetoric. He wants graphic evidence of resistance and violence. He is manipulating us by setting up emotionally charged situations between citizens and law enforcement.
State leaders who rightly insist there is no need for federal intervention will be undercut by those who take the bait and provide exactly what this mostly performative president wants.
Protesters should adopt a block party approach by bringing refreshments (non-alcoholic), celebrating peacefully, and staying out of the way. Let their signs do the talking and rejoice in resisting Trump’s un-American tactics.

The above cost excluded the purchase of the Underhill property even though that was the only reason given by the City in 2017 to justify spending almost two million dollars for the purchase and loan cost. Despite not including the land as a project cost, the City Manager attempted to justify the Underhill purchase by comparing an empty lot currently for sale on Laneda for $129 a square foot. Raising this comparison begs some further explanation. Why did the City sell the same sized old City Hall property which is up the street from the aforementioned $129 per square foot example to the contractor who built City Hall for what appears to be a fire sale price for both the land and the “uninhabitable” building for approximately $67 per square foot?
The City Hall project was a capital construction project and as such is entitled to be reimbursed for the administrative efforts of City Hall staff. These indirect costs that City officials charge our Water Operating Fund and justify as responsible accounting were also omitted as a project cost. Utilizing the Water Operating Fund indirect cost methodology employed to reimburse City Hall staff for the administrative support tasks that they provided for the City Hall project over the past three years adds approximately $435,000 to the total cost. (Note) This figure acknowledges that City staff were not responsible for processing monthly payroll for contractors of the project and has been accordingly reduced to reflect this fact.
Despite being substantially built with borrowed money, City officials are unsure what the financing costs to repay those construction funds over the next 20 years are so they will not not be considered as part of the total project cost. What is known is that the current City Budget contains loan repayments for this fiscal year alone for the Underhill property and City Hall construction that total $37,500 per month. Based on the best available information, the 20 year loan interest costs for construction of City Hall alone will total approximately $1.85 million.
Actual Total Project Cost: Approximately $10.2 million.
When presented with the opportunity to give a clear accounting of the total cost of this project based on the decisions, City Budget figures and current accounting practices of our City officials, we get a report that lacks both accounting credibility and common sense. City officials would have us believe that this project involved nothing more than the cost of designing and building a structure and those costs ended with the ribbon cutting.
As this Council celebrates and attempts to dismiss any further explanations on the real cost of the City Hall project, they will pivot to the pressing needs to generate new sources of revenue for City services. Businesses should prepare for the prospect of a food tax and a new monthly street fee for residents on their water bills as the Council resurrects its Revenue Diversification efforts. What businesses and residents will actually experience is Revenue Confiscation to support General Fund services.
It took 75 years from Manzanita’s incorporation as a City for annual expenditures to provide General Fund services to reach $2.5 million in 2021. Just four years later, this year’s Budget for those same services requires $6.7 million annually and includes the largest repayment of long term debt in the City’s history.
The City is discovering that maintaining and providing City services for a year round visitor destination with a foundation built on short term rentals is an expensive undertaking. Higher property taxes and water rates, hiring more employees to administer the growing number of short term rentals and new fees and taxes for residents to subsidize the impact that visitors have on City infrastructure. Amid these facts, City officials seek to reassure residents that thanks to those visitors, community livability has never been better. Moving forward, they appear committed to confiscating and spending whatever it takes to ensure that the quality of life for residents keeps pace with the costs of government because $6.7 million dollars just does not go far these days.
There’s a fine line between fleecing and skinning. I’m not sure City officials grasp the significance of the distinction but residents are feeling the pain.

Drumf is 4 years too late. In 2020, Pelosi and Wheeler cheered on the extremely violent protesters. Drumf did NOT send in the guard then, just like he failed to secure our border in term one.
Why Portland now?
I bought my Vanilla Ice CD at Music Millennium, and I will roll down to the 50-foot ‘war zone’ on Thursday and blast some Vanilla, with a big smile on my face.
If things do escalate in the days to come, from outside Soros-agitators or traitorous J6-type feds, let’s at least make sure this doesn’t happen again:
And if George did in fact overdose (he did), it would be more proper to blame his death on open-border Democrats than Chauvin. Or Drumf’s open border during term one, a place and time where it WOULD have been appropriate to send in The National Guard. One could at least argue that the drugs coming across the open-border ruined George Floyd’s life.
Anyway, here is some funny!

For several years, the symphony performed regularly at St. Catherine until it outgrew the venue. Because musicians loved playing at the church, with its wonderful acoustics and appreciative audiences, several small groups made up of current and former symphony members have put together a program of chamber music suited for the smaller venue.
Queentet–a string quartet plus clarinet– will play movements from Mozart’s famous clarinet quintet, K 581. A trio of flutes will present two contemporary pieces, one of which, Birds, has movements entitled Birdsong, Flight, and The Journey. The FAB piano trio (violin, cello, piano) will perform the gentle second movement from Mendelssohn’s first piano trio. The Astoria Tuba Quartet will round out the program with a selection of pieces by composers ranging from the baroque-era Buxtehude to the local (Peninsula) Norm Poulshock.
The concert will take place on Saturday, October 4 at St. Catherine Episcopal Church (36335 N. Hwy 101, Nehalem, OR ) beginning at 3 pm.
There will be no fee for admission, but donations are encouraged.

Fox News host Pete, Secretary of Treason, just met with 800 military leaders. I think we all know why.
As someone who was in the Portland streets daily protesting after Dubya and Dick invaded Iraq on behalf of Bibi’s Greater Israel project, which came after those same criminals flew airplanes into and then blew-up WTC bldgs #1 and #2, and then blew-up WTC #7, my view is that actual Portlanders will indeed get very aggressive protesting those wars. I will likely join them, even though the lot of ‘em totally dropped the ball on ‘covid’ and George Floyd, who died of an overdose and was NOT killed by Chauvin.
So maybe Drumf and the CIA/FBI are getting ahead of all that with this deployment.
Still, in that event, be aware of Soros-funded non-Portland residents being shipped in to cause major violence AND those treasonous J6 feds like Ray Epps.
Anyway, jut thinking and sharing.
Here is a link about Drumf and Pete’s treasonous war they are starting with Venezuela:

Thank you to everyone who joined us last week in Nehalem—your energy and commitment make a real difference, and new faces are always welcome!
The North County Resistance Group will meet again this Saturday in the Nehalem City Parking Lot from noon to 2:00 PM. Join us to make your voice heard, connect with fellow community members, and help shape our community’s future. Bring your signs, a chair, and a positive attitude; stay as long as you like. After a few days of much-needed rain, we’re hopeful for sunny weather next Saturday.
Together, we are working to restore law and order to our National Government by advocating for transparent policies and supporting local initiatives that protect democratic values. By gathering, we not only defend our own freedom of speech but also stand up for the rights of those around us.
Our commitment to our local food bank remains strong. Please put that food in your car right now so you don’t forget it. Non-perishable foods, check, and cash are always welcome, and they go right to our North County Food Bank. Congratulations to those who made it possible for the food bank to take up space next door to their current location while their building is being built. And a big thank you to all the donors in our community who keep the food bank going.
We will have more information about the “No Kings” protest coming up in October. Again, we need 8-10 people to help us set up and with the safety and security issues.
Best,
Patty
