Gigantic Book Sale at Cannon Beach Library Through July 4

Thousands of books are available for sale at the Cannon Beach Library from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday.
Buy three books, get the fourth at equal or lesser value for free.
On Monday, buy a library-supplied bag for $5 and fill it to the top with books from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Book lovers can choose from most genres – fiction, including bestsellers, mysteries, classics and old and rare; nonfiction, including cookbooks, how-to, religion, Pacific Northwest, science and nature, sports, poetry; books about gardening, travel, and holidays; mixed media, including audio books, DVDs, and music CDs; and books for children and young adults.

Innovative combination SUP and SOT kayaks for sale

Is it possible to have too many kayaks? There’s two of us humans and six kayaks, and our diminishing garage space dictates that two have to go (kayaks; not humans).

The Origami Paddler ® can be used as either a SUP (standup -paddleboard) or SOT (sit on top kayak) – ideal for cruising the Nehalem river. The boat consists of three pieces that fold together and can fit in your car, allowing you to go “from trunk to water in minutes.”

Colors yellow and orange; weighs approximately 45 pounds.
Specs: 32 inches wide and 8′ 11″ long.
When folded, it is 35.5” x 31.5” x 13.5” and 7- 7.5” thick.

Acquired late 2021(kickstarter program) for $639 each – new, never used (we’ve been traveling overseas). Asking $500 for both. Includes paddles and “freedom carts” and shoulder straps for transporting.

Qigong in the park on Tuesday July 5th

Come join us in the park to practice a walking form of Qigong called Xi Xi Hu
It combines walking and deep breathing that helps boost the immune system ,reduce stress and lift your spirits.
This method has walking and breathing patterns that are easy to learn.

Tuesday morning we will getting together in the beautiful
Nehalem City Park on Hugo street.
Tues. July 5 -10 AM to 11 AM
Please wear comfortable clothes that you can move in.
Cost is $10

It’s that time to catch up on all the post pandemic home maintenance. I am looking for recommendations for exterior painting, power washing, gutter cleaning, etc., on an ongoing basis. Would be great to find someone who can do it all. Must be licensed and bonded and have excellent local references. Recommendations from local BBQ friends are encouraged. I know everyone is very busy, but I will wait for the right person. Thanks very much!

Thanks to all of you who have signed the IP17 (Gun Violence Reduction Act), together we will reach our goal and have this on the November ballot. For those in the Tillamook area who would like to sign the petition, please contact Kathy B. @503-742-3786 between the hours of noon-8pm, by July 4th.
For those not aware of the initiative, you must be a registered Oregon voter to sign. IP17 will require a permit to purchase firearms; require passing a background check and limit magazines to a maximum of 10 rounds. Please go to www.lifteveryvoiceoregon.com for the complete text of the initiative.
Tomorrow is your last opportunity to be part of getting this on the ballot. If you’re undecided, that’s ok, remember this is only to get it on the ballot, you will choose how to vote in November. Susan & I will again be outside the Farmers Market tomorrow, look for flashing car lights. This is your opportunity to make a statement for change by signing our petition.
