Vintage Steamer Trunk

Submitted By: janbehrs@hotmail.com – Click to email about this post
This metal-clad steamer trunk with brass corners and locks was made in the early 1900s by McBrine Baggage of Kitchener, Canada. It measures 23 inches tall, 39 inches long and 21 inches wide.
The interior is lined with patterned paper, which shows some staining from age and wear. Probably not good for clothing storage, but would make a cool coffee table. $125

Mid-Summer Report – August 2022

At the halfway point of its Summer Flower Sale Fundraiser, Friends of NCRD has raised over $2,500 for NCRD scholarships and programs, including Youth baseball, soccer, pickle ball, field trips, and summer camps. Because summer is the season of greatest need for our community’s Youth, Friends’ goal is to double that amount by the end of the summer.

To meet that goal, FRIENDS NEED YOUR HELP IN SUPPORT OF NORTH COUNTY’S YOUTH and YOUTH PROGRAMS. Please help extend opportunities to all in our community, with scholarships for those otherwise unable to participate. Already this summer, scholarships have made a difference in the lives of more than a dozen Youth in North County. Please help Friends continue this support.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Treat yourself or your neighbor to a flower arrangement…..cheer a friend…..celebrate a special occasion…..brighten an ordinary day. Arrangements, starting at $5, are on sale EVERY DAY in the parking lot of the Little Apple.

LOOKING AHEAD:

Friends’ Fall Fundraiser has begun. Place your order for Spring Blooming Bulbs and Potted Amaryllis. Photos of daffodils, tulips, hyacinths, crocus, paperwhites and amaryllis – as well as order forms – are at the Friends’ table in the Little Apple parking lot and at the Welcome Center at NCRD. To have a bulb booklet and order form emailed to you, contact gyoung@friendsofncrd.org

Sleep Number Mattress (Queen size)

Submitted By: tuttlekip@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Ever wanted to try a Sleep Number Mattress? Here is your chance! We bought this Queen size unit 4 years ago, and it has served us well, but after a stay at a hotel, we finally found a mattress that worked better for us. So this is now surplus to our needs. It doesn’t seem right to send a good Sleep Number to the landfill, so if you are interested, it is yours to pick up here in Manzanita. It is free to a good home.

This is a model ‘Queen Dual p5 360 Smart Bed’ (SKU QZP5) purchased in 2018. In the picture, you will see the pump, the two remotes (one for each side), and the instruction manual. We always had it protected with a proper mattress pad. It is in very good shape.

Hope someone can use it.

or his Instagram portfolio: www.instagram.com/topotrailmaps/

Business and Politics

Business and Politics. It appears a Mayoral candidate might have some questionable business practices in regards to paying corporate taxes to the state of Oregon. Hiding a business in a nevada Llc just seems wrong in my opinion. Corporate taxes help pay for education, public assistance and medicaid to name a few. It seems self serving and plain wrong not to pay your fair share to the state, county and city we all love.
Will self serving decisions be made once elected only to hurt others in the community? Let your vote be the voice.
