Still in pretty good shape from a comfort perspective. There is a hole in the cushion and it needs some TLC (cleaning, scuff marks covered, etc.) Sofa has been well loved by humans and dogs and just doesn’t have a spot in our new home.
Needs to be picked up in Arch Cape – we should be able to help with loading. Please email: alyleibow@gmail.com

Across the county, a partnership of 20 local organizations works together to provide a variety of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics) programs to Tillamook County K-12 students. Together this partnership offers students numerous experiential education programs including environmental science field trips, farm-to-table school gardens, science fairs, cultural programming, research projects, professional development, and more. Each year, hundreds of students participate in these programs, which are made possible by volunteer STEAM Coaches.
In order to offer these community-enriching programs, the TC STEAM Partnership needs volunteer STEAM Coaches to fulfill a variety of roles. STEAM Coaches are people who believe all students should be able to learn about STEAM subjects through educational experiences that are hands-on and inquiry-based.
STEAM Coaches don’t need to be experts, they just need to be passionate about helping students learn! We look forward to seeing you at our next training!
This training will include an orientation session for new STEAM Coach Volunteers, a discussion group focused on past volunteer experiences for returning STEAM Coaches, a history tour of the USCG Boathouse, a catered lunch, and hands-on demonstrations of upcoming field trip activities.
For questions about this training or if you cannot attend but would like to learn about future opportunities, please contact Rachel@tbnep.org.
The TC STEAM Partnership organizations that are co-hosting this training and sharing volunteer information for upcoming programs include:
Tillamook School District #9
Friends of Netarts Bay Watershed, Estuary, Beach and Sea (WEBS)
Tillamook Estuaries Partnership
Juntos Afuera
Food Roots

Our family is on the hunt for a washer! Ours has decided it no longer wants to work. We have looked into repairing it, but unfortunately, it would be expensive, and the repairman wouldn’t be able to do it for 4-6 weeks.
Does anyone have a washer they are getting rid of/upgrading and want to sell? We don’t need anything fancy! I thought I would ask here first, as I’m not very keen on buying a new one right now.
I can be reached at 503-739-3181 or morgancmagras@icloud.com

Rehearsals are underway for ‘Brighton Beach Memoirs’ with a March 18th opening and directed by Vicki Haker.
Auditions for ’12 Angry Jurors’, based on the Henry Fonda movie ’12 Angry Men’, will be held in early March. We’ll be looking for 13-14 men and women to fill the cast.
’12 Angry Jurors’ opens June 2nd and will be directed by Frank Squillo who previously directed ‘Arsenic and Old Lace’ and last month’s ‘It’s A Wonderful Life: The Radio Play’.
Following the success of ‘Dracula: The Radio Play’ last October we are proud to announce the debut of ‘Frankenstein: The Radio Play’ just in time for the 2023 Halloween season, opening on October 20th.
And we’ll round out the year giving It’s a Wonderful Life’ a rest after 5 years with a full-stage production of the holiday classic ‘A Christmas Story’, opening December 4th.
We’re very excited that we already have a Major Award Leg Lamp, a Legendary Official Red Ryder 200-shot Range Model Air Rifle, and a can of Simoniz being offered to us by Scott Fisher for our holiday production. And we promise we won’t shoot our eye out!
Thank you for all the community support in our record-breaking 2022 season and keep watching for more details about our 2023 lineup at www.RiverbendPlayers.org.

So you can watch these committees with your computer for upcoming bills and discussions –
WATCH FOR ANY BILLS LABELED AN EMERGENCY – The first bill I checked was labeled an emergency – When bills are labeled an “Emergency” and they are not really an emergency, as you can gauge by reading – The purpose of putting an Emergency title on a bill is to make it very difficult for the citizens to recall the bill. This particular bill is about insurers offering dental plans outside of health insurance exchange, and a charge imposed on them. Is this really an EMERGENCY? Is this bill necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2023 Act takes effect on its passage.
The word EMERGENCY attached to a bill is for REAL emergencies like floods, fires, extreme weather, pandemics, etc, and warfare. This bill is obviously not an emergency.
Also look for a sponsor the bill – This one has Rep Rob Nosse name on it. I e-mailed him and asked him not to title bills an EMERGENCY if they are not an emergency although I doubt he has anything to do with this. Here is another bill labeled an emergency in this committee. This one is sponsored by Rep Mannix.
It is for a study to be done to evaluate the needs and space for treating mental illness. There is no need to put an Emergency clause on this bill. It is a study. It does not need an emergency clause in it to pass or get accomplished – so why use the term EMERGENCY? So I am finishing this up but I am further checking bills to see how many are EMERGENCIES -Do they want us to think that we are living in a perpetual state of EMERGENCY?
I am beginning to think so.
Actually you should contact Gov. Tina Kotek – and tell her that the previous governor started this practice of labeling many bills “EMERGENCY” when they are not emergencies, and as she was labeled the most disliked governor in the United states twice!, It is not advisable for Gov. Kotek to emulate her.
