How are you doing with saying wonderful things to people 3 times a day? Try getting it done in the morning and it could change your entire day. Back with information on Friends of North County Recreation District Flower Sales. Friends will be at the Deli in downtown Manzanita with fresh flower bouquets both Friday and Saturday mornings. Flowers are really beginning to come on now!

We do need more arrangers to keep the project going. Please contact Gail at 503-830-3759 or gailmyoung@mac.com if you might be interested in helping with the flower arrangements. On the days we sell we go to Flower Central and start arranging at 8 AM. This is so we can have the flowers to their downtown location at 9 AM. If you have extra flowers at your home, we can use those too!

Helping with this project brings a lot of joy, knowing Friends Mission is to promote and support NCRD by raising funds for scholarships, programs, and projects at NCRD. Friends support youth, aquatic, and fitness center programs. Friends is a 501 (c) (3) organization. Donations can be made to Friends of NCRD, PO Box 511, Nehalem, Oregon 97131. We appreciate everyone’s help. And don’t forget your neighbor’s birthday!

FRANKENSTEIN: The Radio Play
by Phillip Grecian

Directed by: Julee Ward
Assistant Director: Juli Stratton
Executive Producer: Juli Stratton

The Frankenstein story:

‘Frankenstein: The Radio Play’ is a chilling adaptation of Mary Shelley’s classic novel, brought to life through the power of sound.

Join Captain Robert Walton and his crew as they become caught up in the story of Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant scientist who creates a living being out of dead flesh.

But when the creature is rejected by its creator and the world, it sets out on a path of revenge that will bring death and destruction to all who cross it.

This radio play is full of suspense, horror, and thought-provoking themes. It is a must-see for fans of classic literature and vintage radio drama.

THIS TUESDAY MORNING there is plenty of space still in our beautiful yoga & visualizations/affirmations/sound bath event!

It is sliding scale starting at $11 (and I a happy to work with anyone to make sure it’s affordable to all-just send a note.)

We’ll start with a seated 5-minute meditation to connect with nature. Then we’ll move through a 1-hour all-levels yoga sequence. This will be fairly active and a bit of a workout, but no worries if you’re new to yoga.

After we move, we’ll spend about 40 minutes in very gentle and relaxing, restorative yoga and shapes, with a hand pan/singing bowl sound bath by Jesse Clark, and some optional aromatherapy.

During this time April will guide you through a replenishing visualization and affirmations journey to stir up your wildest, warmest dreams and call them into reality.s

DISAGREE BETTER

Submitted By: dixiegainer@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
I have lived here a long time, and I am remembering a neighbor and friend that passed away some while ago and that I still miss. She was a Republican, a staunch conservative, and definitely pro-life. I was a liberal, considered myself progressive, and pro-choice. We had lots of discussions, and lots of disagreements. But at an impasse my friend would say – “well, …we agree to disagree.” And then we would go on and enjoy each others company.

We never used words given to us to use today by the media ……which repeats these words and phrases over and over again. We never called each other a conspiracy theorist, we never accused the other of mis-information and disinformation – at that time the media was not engaged in trying to divide us or control our minds by repeating phrases over and over again so that when a person gets slightly annoyed or agitated – they open their mouths and those phrases pop out. “ Anti-vaxxer” “thats’s disinformation”, “ misinformation-“ or “your a conspiracy theorists”, or a “right wing extremest.” I was called a right wing extremest by a close family friend just a few days ago – and it made us both pause and think. She was surprised at herself! Of all things to call me that definitely is not it! I am basically the same person that I was in the past – but a lot smarter than I used to be. I don’t see how anyone could think of me as “right wing” “or extreme”
But this person didn’t think at all – the words just popped right out of her mouth, put there by the media. So think before you speak – just agree to disagree and keep your friends and family close by – we need each other.
.
So – keep talking to your friends, keep talking to your family even if they are “nuts” (We used to say that!) Are you nuts? You must be crazy! So just say – well, we agree to disagree, and keep enjoying the company of others.

Just disagree better!

What made me think about this was an e-mail I just received from the Braver Angels who
are launching “Rise for America,” a structured campaign to enable us all to bring America and Americans together in constructive dialogue to help depolarize our nation.
We do need to disagree better………..

Tidal wave: a relatively small threat to our community

Submitted By: andynorris21@yahoo.com – Click to email about this post
The propaganda is ramping up, get ready:

“(Bloomberg) — China represents an increasing threat to the US power grid, lawmakers were told Tuesday during a hearing in which they were warned a cyberattack from the nation could plunge military and other sensitive sites into darkness.”

===

A grid collapse is much more likely than a tidal wave. It would be smart to have a local committee of volunteers addressing this threat.

It could be China. It could be Russia. It will most likely be the WEF (Big Tech/Intel) crowd who will blame China or Russia.

Our present overlord, mega-mass-murderer Henry Kissinger’s number one protege, who ‘predicted’ ‘covid’, Austrian Nazi Klaus Schwab warned us: “A comprehensive cyber attack will make zee covid crisis look like a valk in zee park.”

After ‘zee comprehensive cyber attack’ comes the implementation of CBDCs as they bring the grid back up.

Maybe I’m wrong. But I was right about two HUGE things recently, having told friends 1. If Trump gets elected they (billionaire instigators) will be releasing a virus. 2. If Biden gets elected his admin will start WW3 with Russia.

Tidal wave? Seriously? With all this happening? A tidal wave????

We have some blue lines in the road where the tidal wave is gonna stop. Yup, we got some blue lines in the road.

How about nukes? How about no internet? How about no electricity for 30 days from grid collapse? These threats are gifts from the neocons who now run the Democratic Party. It can be hard to tell with all that equity and inclusiveness in the way, but Dems are run by war pigs now.

The Democrat elite have started world war three, and the every day democrats are still pretending that isn’t the case, that Biden didn’t start a war with Russia (hell, some still refuse to believe that we are at war with Russia!), and we’re worried about a tidal wave???

Then comes the CBDC ‘everything app’ as they bring the grid back up. Those looooong days when the grid is down will make a tidal wave look, as Klaus said about ‘covid’, ‘will make zee covid crisis look like a valk in zee park.’

Also more likely than a tidal wave: Putin getting sick of Biden and NATO and us war-pig Americans, and, finally , after years of the woke Pentagon screwing us over while screwing with Russia, he decides to nuke us. Again, where is the citizens committee taking on this huge threat the woke Dems have blessed us with?

Worried about a tidal wave???

Public officials and volunteers should forget all about the ‘the tidal wave’ for the next few years, or at least until Biden leaves office. Thanks to this admin, the worst in U.S. history, the most dangerous in U.S. history, we have two HUGE threats that would make a tidal wave look like a valk in zee park.

Then again, EMPs can be targeted at fault lines to cause earthquakes, and then…tidal waves.

Maybe we should be worried about a tidal wave after all? Get above that blue line folks!

and from 30 years ago! Remember what technology was like 30 years ago? What does HAARP do now I wonder? A helluva lot more than it did 30 years ago, that’s what:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33KVU-oc03g

and yes, from the conspiracists at CBS news, from 9 years ago, YES ‘THEY’ CAN CONTROL THE WEATHER. And they have been doing so for decades. As in, they have the ability to do so, and they have done so, and they will continue to do so.

No, not all weather silly! Just some of it, some of the time.

Is it for good or for bad? Who knows, but please know what so many of these power-hungry God-playing creeps are up to:

Back by Popular Demand: Conversations with Councilors STRs

Submitted By: Linda.Kozlowski@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
The April Manzanita’s Conversations with Councilors sessions regarding the city hall project were deemed a great success: Attendees said they felt heard, got answers, and learned more about the process. The council members walk away with fresh ideas and a better understanding of the community’s perspectives—all of which helped with informed decision-making on the city hall project.

As planned, we’re bringing Conversations with Councilors back for round two.

This time we would like to listen to your thoughts and ideas about Short Term Rentals (STRs). As many of you may know, the Short Term Rental Committee recently presented its survey findings:

For the presentation and raw data, please note the links on the City of Manzanita’s website front page green block, Announcements and Information.

We’d like to use the results to guide conversations with you about STRs—specifically regarding density mitigation measures and cap adjustments that the council will need to address in the future. We have filled the July dates and are now in August!

These sessions will be on
Tuesday, Aug 1 – 10am
Thursday, Aug 10 – 2pm
Tuesday, Aug 15 – 10am

The location will again be at the Manzanita library and will include two councilors at a time. To ensure your voice is heard, we’ll keep the attendance to 15 (this worked very well). The specifics will be posted on the city’s website. And please note that you do not need to print a “ticket” to attend. When you sign up, your name is captured on a list that we receive. We apologize for the confusion—our intentions are to make it as easy as possible for you to attend while ensuring that it’s an effective gathering.

You can reserve your spot by going to the City of Manzanita Website Calendar, click the date you would like to attend and follow the link to reserve your seat.

City Calendar is here: ci.manzanita.or.us/calendar

Please come with your ideas! They help us to be better positioned to make city policy that residents support. And remember, this is a safe venue for you to be heard—and we want to hear from everyone, not just the loudest voices!

Happy Summer Everyone! We had such a great time at our inaugural Mini Music Fest on July 4th. Thanks to all of you who came out, relaxed, danced and supported our beautiful musical guests. We are already starting to plan for next years festival.

Our tomato plants are getting ready to pop! Our first lil sun gold was so sweet and delicious and we can’t wait for all of the plants to start producing. Help yourselves and make sure to leave enough for everyone to enjoy.

Our Community Compost Club has over 35 members and growing! We built a community worm bin that, after 1 month is almost full, so we are building another one! The worms are so happy with all of the delicious food scraps you are bringing to them, so keep it coming. Tell your friends and neighbors and make sure to let them know to get in touch with us so we know how many people are using the bins. Thank you for taking this important step in reducing the amount of waste going into the landfill. Every little bit counts and we get yummy worm castings to use in our gardens as a result. Flooring Installer Wanted

Submitted By: terrafaith108@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Hi Neighbors –

Are there any handyfolks who are experienced, available and interested in a flooring installation job? I have a rectangular room – 1 doorway/transition, approx 280-sq ft – I’m hoping to get put back together before the end of summer. I haven’t purchased the new flooring yet but planning on some simple Pergo flooring to help get the room usable again.

If this flooring thing can work out, I may have other things to discuss too but my priority for now is flooring!

Thanks,
Terra (Bayside Gardens area)
