Top of the Line Mobility Walker

Submitted By: k.r.yurka@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
My husband used this walker to assist with his stability and mobility with Parkinson’s for just over a year. If you’re looking for equipment that is sturdy and really helps with “freezing” this is for you. When stopped, the wheels will not roll so the user is very safe! Please look at the In-Step Mobility website – it explains better than I can how it works:
www.ustep.com/standard-u-step-2/

Ours includes the laser line and sound cueing enhancements – all the bells & whistles. For info on how the enhancements work: www.ustep.com/laser-sound-cue-for-u-step-2/

It has been used almost exclusively indoors, so no significant wear & tear on the brakes, wheels or seat. The cueing module uses 2 AA batteries. It accommodates users 4’10” to 6’2″, and up to 355 lbs. It flattens easily to stash in the car, but it’s heavier (21 lbs) and longer when flat (42″) than a standard aluminum walker, because its steel and aluminum (therefore super sturdy!)

I paid $979 in March 2023. I would love to get $500 for it if it’s going to someone with means to pay easily. I’ll consider $300 for someone with limited resources.

Check out the website, then TEXT me if you’re interested. I’m happy to demonstrate the bells & whistles.

Mission style coffee table with shelf in good condition. Has some scratches (see pic for the worst one.) It’s fairly heavy and solid. May be Ethan Allen?

It’s 4’1″ x 2’7″ x 1’7″ (49″ x 31″ x 19″)

It’s all yours for $50 OBO. Would like it gone this week! ~ Text Karen @ 503-475-Zero97Five.

Flower Arrangers for July/August

Submitted By: pattyrinehart@nehalemtel.net – Click to email about this post
VOLUNTEERS are needed by Friends of North County Recreation (NCRD) to help with making bouquets which Friends sells to support programs and projects at NCRD. The dates are listed below Friends supports scholarships for Youth, Aquatics, and Fitness Centers. This is one of Friends’ bigger fundraisers and the money is well spent to make our communities shine. The dahlias and other flowers are coming on and we need to find homes for them. The project starts daily at 9 AM in Manzanita. Friends will have water and vases, and flowers, but if you have flowers to contribute, please bring them with you. You’ll want to bring clippers if you have them-we always have extra sets, and many people want to wear gloves. Come on over and help! You do not need any florist skills; the flowers will arrange themselves. Call me, Patty, 503-801-3534 (message phone) and let me know if you can help anytime in July or August. I’ve listed the days we need filled in July. August is completely open so have at it!

Available dates in July would be:
Mondays, 15th, 22nd, and 29th.
Tuesdays, July 9th,16th,23rd, and the 30th.
Wednesdays, July 10th,17th,24th,31st.
Thursdays, July11th, 18th,25th.
Fridays, July 12th.

NEW STIHL FSA 135 STRING TRIMMER

Submitted By: tim4surf@yahoo.com – Click to email about this post
This Stihl battery powered FSA 135 trimmer/cutter is basically brand new. I am selling it as physical limitations have surfaced that will prevent me from using it safely. This machine is the top of the line and includes the AL 301 charger, two batteries, harness, and two user manuals. A cutter head versus the spool type is installed on this machine thereby reducing weight.A brush cutting blade may be used as well. The user wears a high grade adjustable harness with a clip-on mount while working. This allow for total control of the cutting path. Zero emissions, instant start every time, and amazingly quiet. 2 batteries/charger allow extended working time.
Retail with extra battery is $1,245. Selling for $700.
