Independent Presidential Candidate

This link gives a general history of Robert Kennedy’s Jr’s background since the mid 80’s:

www.kennedy24.com/about

He has a podcast on Spotify interviewing many people who also reflect where he stands on issues.

His attention and concern for the environment, the Children’s Health Defense Council that he started, His proposal of positive ways to create regenerative agriculture, and his desire to end all the endless WARS and bring back that huge chunk of our tax dollars to our citizens to create a healthier society here feeds optimism to my mind and spirit.

Independent candidates haven’t been taken very seriously in the past in FEAR of taking votes away from the 2 party system. However:

Social media has helped even the playing field, and with the common thread of a strong desire for positive change, this Candidate deserves a consideration.

to all,

i just want to say that i am in 100% agreement about signing opinion posts.

after all, your opinion is worth more, or less, depending on who you are. we each have whatever amount of credibility from living in this north county community, and that makes a difference whether someone is going to listen to you.

if an opinion piece is unsigned, i give it no attention.

just sayin’. putting in my two cents worth!

Rehab Therapist ISO neglected rowing machine

Submitted By: funbludgeon@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Do you have a rowing machine hiding under your laundry or living with the spiders in your garage? I’m usually making other people in this community exercise so that they can get back home to their families, but lately I’ve been realizing I need to put some of that focus onto myself. I would love to put a good rowing machine to work, and thought it might be worth it to reach out to the community and see what’s available. I’m looking forward to hearing from you! **fingers crossed**

Art in the Manzanita Library

Submitted By: susantone@nehalemtel.net – Click to email about this post
Manzanita Artist Kim Rosenberg will be displaying her at work at the Manzanita library in July and August.

“I like to make things that leave my mind free to wander and my hands busy”, says Kim.

“When I collage imaginary gardens and animals from wool felt and embroidery floss, I don’t use a pattern. I cut shapes free hand and put them together over time before I start to stitch. I like the feel of the felt and the rich colors available. I like how a few simple stitches can create details and depth.”

“Making a collage with existing images from books and magazines is a much faster process but similar for me. I cut out and place images together in imagined landscapes where babies can fly and people of many different cultures, countries, ethnicities, and time periods all exist at once.”

In this show collages were made from up cycled images taken from 1940 – 1960 National Geographic magazines Kim found at the Manzanita Recycling & Transfer station. The felt pieces were stitched “during the long rainy days of winter.”

Art in the Library is sponsored by North Tillamook Library Friends.

Rockwell 10 inch Contractor Saw

This saw and the motor are frozen. The top is cast iron. I used it in my custom finish carpentry business and it served me well. When I moved here in 1988, I had no place to keep it and the coast air took over. I do believe that the saw itself could be loosened up. Project? Scrap metal? You pick.
