There you go again…….

Randy just can’t help himself. He, of course, continues to miss the big picture.

He humphs about bumps, humps and other mediocre topics. What’s he trying to prove?

But he is wrong about the City Hall funding decision vote that took place on June 2023, led by Mayor Simmons and that Council. The vote was critical to move forward on the City Hall project. It was a very intense debate and decision. Watch the recording for that critical financing decision that is the key for building the City Hall.

Here is Resolution 23 – 23: (the last 2 digits reflects the year, so 2023)
Manzanita City Council Resolution 23-23, adopted on June 7, 2023, formally authorized a Special Public Works Fund (SPWF) loan contract with the State of Oregon.

This financial agreement helped fund infrastructure planning and development, specifically relating to the city’s public works and new City Hall project facilities.

Key Details Action: Authorized state loan contract execution.
Fund: Special Public Works Fund (SPWF) via the State of Oregon.
Date Adopted: June 7, 2023.
Purpose: Securing financing for municipal infrastructure and public works strategies.

Mayor Simmons was the elected Mayor on June 7, 2023. She led the Council that night in key votes for Phase 2 of the City Hall project. (Mayor Simmons did move out of Manzanita in August of 2023 and resigned officially in November 2023. The November Council meeting is when Simmons said she was taking the “bully pulpit” that night.)
