Gorgeous blue-eyed cat ready for new home

Meet Shelby! Beautiful and oh so sweet. After her owner passed away two years ago, a family member kept Shelby in a garage. The home foreclosed, which is when I became involved as a real estate agent. There was nowhere for Shelby to go so I took her home. She weighed 4.22 lbs and was in rough shape. United Paws and Nehalem Animal Healing jumped in to save the day and remove the thyroid tumor that was causing her to be unsustainably underweight. Shelby just had her two week post surgery appointment to have stitches removed, and she has already gained 25% of her body weight. Yay!

Shelby is eating like a champ and purring like someone who knows they’re getting a second shot at life. Working in real estate is always about helping people, but with this particular home it was also about saving an animal. I am thankful to have been part of Shelby’s healing journey, and ready to help her find the purrfect long-term home she deserves.

Ideal home would pet-less, indoor-only, and calm with a patient human who will let her come out of her shell and relax. She has a wonderful temperament, she is not reactive, and I have no doubt that she’ll thrive once she settles in with her new family.
