I read Chris Berrie’s august 30 bbq post about Cyrus Javadi. i copied and pasted it below this one.
when Cyrus Javadi ran for office to be our Representative in the Oregon House, i didn’t vote for him. i voted for his democratic opponent that i thought would represent us well.
but Cyrus Javadi won anyway!
since then, i regularly read his blog, A Point of Personal Privilege, and his posts on BBQ and the Tillamook County Pioneer. I have gone to listen to him at local community venues. I feel that Cyrus Javadi truly represents OUR interests–that’s US, his constituents–we who vote and choose our elected representatives. I also feel that i am educated by what he writes. he speaks to health care, housing, cost of living, political divisiveness. he states that he is willing to work with anyone–republican, democrat, independent, unaffiliated–on any issue. his words and his voting record show that he is working to help the common man–that’s us, you and me, we who live day to day in these troubling times.
i will definitely be voting for Cyrus Javadi in this coming november election.
i hope everyone reading this post and the one below will read his blog and his posts, and give careful consideration to also voting for Cyrus Javadi in november.

Vote for Cyrus Javadi
I’m a non-affiliated voter with no party loyalty. I’m going to be honest. When I first heard Rep. Cyrus Javadi changed parties from Republican to Democrat, I was highly skeptical. I assumed that he’d made an opportunistic decision to improve his chances of holding office.
Once I’ve formed a first impression of someone, it’s not easy to persuade me to change my mind. Rep. Javadi has convinced me that he truly has the best interests of his constituents in mind, even when they may not know what their own best interests are.
I’ve attended several of Rep. Javadi’s town halls and a house party for him. I also follow his blog and FB page. Since meeting him, I’ve found Rep. Javadi to be one of the most genuine and honest elected officials I’ve ever encountered. I’ve listened as he has been asked pointed questions about his reasons for changing parties, why some of his views have changed and his positions on numerous issues. He speaks in a manner that is easy to follow, does not avoid hard questions and makes total sense. He changes his mind when presented with legitimate facts.
To those who have decided he’s betrayed their trust, I ask whether you’ve bothered to have an honest conversation with him and actually hear what he has to say, rather than just making assumptions and unfounded attacks.
