For some who may not know, Woody Guthrie protested ICE and inspired support for immigrants with his late 1940’s tune Deportees”. Gene Clark and Carla Olson updated and covered it in the 1980’s. I thought some among you might enjoy this connection through time. (Gene and Carla put out a nice lp way back when – another of my favorites being “Every Angel In Heaven”. Gene was an original Byrd.)
