This Saturday evening, August 1, at 8:45pm, neighbors will gather to honor the 32 people who have died at the hands of ICE in 2026, people who were shot or who died while held in detention facilities.
Bring a lantern, or a candle that you can hold to the parking lot at St Catherine’s Church on Highway 101 between Nehalem and Manzanita. We will start with a song and then read the names, ages and countries of origin of these victims of ICE. This is an hour to hold vigil, a time to reflect on the value of these lost lives. We have a sign and a battery powered light to illuminate it. Bring a folding chair to be most comfortable.
