Ivory Pyralin DuBarry refers to a popular 1920s-1930s line of faux ivory vanity dresser sets produced by the Arlington Company (owned by DuPont). Made from celluloid, not genuine elephant ivory, these “French Ivory” items feature Art Deco styling and often include mirrors, brushes, and powder jars, frequently found with monogrammed initials.  Key Facts About Ivory Pyralin DuBarry:  * Material: It is a form of celluloid (pyroxylin plastic) designed to imitate ivory, sometimes described as having a butterscotch or yellow-orange tone as it aged. * Manufacturer: Produced by the Arlington Co., which was purchased by E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company in 1917. * Items: The sets commonly included hair receivers, trays, hand mirrors, brushes, powder jars, and shoehorns. * Pattern/Style: The “DuBarry” pattern is a specific, often ornate, Art Deco style. * Collectibility: These items are popular, highly collectible vintage vanity pieces from the early 20th century.  The clock doesn’t not work.
