Kurinuki Pottery Workshop with Michelle Valigura

Discover the ancient art of kurinuki, a Japanese pottery technique where vessels are hand-carved and hollowed from a single solid block of clay. In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to shape, carve, and refine your own unique piece.
Finished works will be fired and glazed, and students may pick up their pieces 4–6 weeks after the class. For added convenience, optional shipping is available for those who are unable to pick-up in person.

Instructor Bio: Michelle Valigura is a sculptor, with a primary focus on ceramics. Her background designing for stop motion animation (including elf, and the simpsons). She has exhibited her work, lectured and taught workshops at galleries, museums and universities worldwide.
