Gather at Alder Creek Farm on Sunday, May 25th for a day of guided bird walks, ‘Big Sit’ observation station, kid’s activities and learning opportunities!
Together, we’ll identify challenges birds face in our own community and consider how to make the spaces we share with birds safer and more welcoming. There will be no shortage of fun for bird enthusiasts of all ages at this family-friendly event. Bring binoculars or borrow a pair of ours! No prior birding experience is necessary.
Guided bird walks will depart from the farm. One will begin at 10AM, and another at 11:30AM, following two route options: one on flat terrain and one that traverses up a medium slope to the upper riparian areas above Alder Creek.
If exploring over uneven ground isn’t your thing, join us at our ‘Big Sit’ station. Or visit the interpretive tables hosted by Hoffman Center for the Arts, Oregon Parks & Recreation, Seven Capes Bird Alliance, Haystack Rock Awareness Program (HRAP), Bird Alliance of Oregon, and the Wildlife Center of the North Coast.
