Doing Good in Evil Times

In a recent (March 5th) Headlight Herald article, the title proclaimed that Senators Who “Walked Out” Were Not Protected From “Consequences”. The title of this article should be “Doing Good in Evil Times Is not Always Rewarding.” The Senators they are talking about tried to stop a bill that gives the state the right to determine what sex your child should be. Yes it does, and the bill states that if the parents interfere, they will be considered by this law to be child abusers, and their child will be removed from them and placed in foster care. This has been happening already in other states, due to the same type of legislation passed in that state. In other words this is a “globalist” bill.

If you have children under the age of 15 – actually the law says from birth to 15, their reproductive organs are under the jurisdiction of the state of Oregon. This bill HB 2002 – does that, it gives the state jurisdiction over your child’s reproductive hormones and organs. I can think of no law more egregious than this. And yet because of the deception of the media, the hysteria of Republicans, and Democrats too, crying abortion, abortion, and abortion- the real purpose of this bill was blurred. (this bill was and is not about abortion, abortion is allowed in our constitution, from age 15) it is about the state, not the parent, being in control of your child’s sexual orientation and reproductive body parts. Abortion is a part of that but it is already legal for age 15 and up.
So the Senators that put their job on the line for you and your children were told they could not run in the next election.
They did take their case to the courts and the Supreme Court, hand picked by the last two Democratic governors, ruled that measure 113 passed by 68% of people, will stand and therefore those that tried to stop this wrongful legislation by trying to prevent a quorum cannot run again. So who is protecting you now dear voter?

Measure 113 —changed the constitution – did you know that? It punishes people who try to prevent a quorum. And preventing a quorum is legal. Democrats have used this tactic also.
Measure 113 as written made you think that there were some lazy legislators who just didn’t bother to show up for work too many times and therefore should not be allowed to run again. Is that why you voted for it? Watch out for bills in the future, most of them are written so you don’t know what they mean.

Oregon Measure 113 -The exclusion from Re-election for Legislative Absenteeism initiative. A “yes” vote supported disqualifying legislators from re-election following the end of their term if they are absent from 10 legislative floor sessions without permission or excuse. This was approved by voters Nov. 8 2022. The Democrats, if they did this would be excused and given permission (as the majority)because there is no definition of what a valid excuse would be, or what would be permitted.
