On this we can agree: most Americans disliked the Republican dominated Alabama Supreme Court ruling on IVF (In Vitro Fertilization). And, because the ruling affected the companies that provide the expensive treatment, the Alabama legislature quickly changed the law to protect the providers from lawsuits. But the rest of the law remains, a total ban on abortion with no exceptions for rape or incest.
We might think this couldn’t happen here but consider Roe v. Wade was settled law until Republican appointees got a majority on the Supreme Court and changed that law to suit their personal views.
