You are probably wondering what Friends of North County Recreation have been up to the past few weeks. Well, just in case you are, I’ve got some news for you! This Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Friends of NCRD will be in downtown Manzanita next to the Manzanita Grocery & Deli, AKA The Little Apple selling tickets to their Annual Fundraiser “POP GOES THE HEART”! Weather permitting, we will be there from 11-2 on Thursday and 11-3 Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Only 1,500 tickets will be sold. Tickets are $10 for one chance or $20 for three chances. Grand prize is $1,000, we have local merchants gift cards, specialty items, baskets, artwork, and hand-crafted items. Join us at the North County Recreation District in Nehalem on February 10th from 6pm to 8pm. Money raised will go towards new equipment for the Fitness Center and NCRD also wants to start Dance Classes for kids. Hosted by Friends of North County Recreation District.
