A GREAT BIG THANK YOU TO THE COMMUNITY

Christmas is as a time of giving joyfully, and caring for one another as a community.
This year, the residents of Manzanita, Nehalem, Wheeler and beyond did this by providing Christmas gifts, bikes, dolls, games, toys, warm coats, pants, tops, shoes, boots, socks, underwear, stocking stuffers and other supplies for 86 local children from 37 different families.
In addition, this year, we provided a “store” at NCRD where over 20 children in the preschool program there could shop for gifts (jewelry, scarves, socks etc.) for their moms, dads and caregivers.
While the Nehalem Bay United Methodist Church spearheaded the project, it took hundreds of volunteer hours and donations from the community to pull it all together. Thank you to everyone who contributed by either taking a tag and shopping for a child, made a donation so that volunteers could go shopping on your behalf, or helped sort, organize and bag the gifts.
May God bless you for your generosity and caring spirit.
