The King Tides are coming!

Get ready for the highest tides of the season with a free happy hour presentation from Jesse Jones of CoastWatch, on Friday, January 20th, at 5:30PM at Tolovana Hall in Cannon Beach.

We’ll enjoy snacks and drinks while exploring the science behind the phenomena of these occasional—and extraordinarily high–tides.

We’ll also look at how rising sea levels will affect our communities, exploring maps and photos of past and present, collected by the Oregon King Tides Project.

The presentation is timed to lead into the final set of king tides of the winter, running from the morning January 20th and continuing through the weekend.

We’ll also share ways you can get involved in citizen science with the Oregon King Tides Project.

The event is free to attend. It takes place Friday, January 20th, at 5:30PM at Tolovana Hall in Cannon Beach.

Attendees are encouraged to bring snacks and drinks, either for themselves or to share.

Tolovana Hall is located at 3779 S. Hemlock St. in Cannon Beach.
