THEN AND NOW … AND THEN is presented at the North County Recreation District (NCRD) in Nehalem, Oregon. The show features works by Clayton Rippey and Lloyd Lindley. An opening on Friday January 6, 2023 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm will kick off the month-long show of Rippey’s abstract modernism, and Lindley’s dystopian surrealism.

Lindley is showing new works from the World Without Us After Us, Remnants of Humanity featuring 3-foot by 6-foot chalk rendered drawings, original pen and ink and a variety of prints. Lindley lives in the Manzanita area.

Clayton Rippey produced over 3,000 paintings and drawings in his lifetime. Mr. Rippey passed away in 2021 the day before his Southern Utah University Museum of Modern Art retrospective opened. This show features a small cross section of his paintings that reach from the 1950’s to 2020. Mr. Rippey painted on the north Oregon coast where his son and daughter live.
