Change is Important. Experience and Leadership Counts!

For the first time in the last 10 years, Manzanita will have a very new City Council, which will bring different perspectives and fresh ideas.

You will choose two Council positions from a field of three people. I am the only candidate that has held office.

No matter who is elected, we will have a majority of new members on City Council and a new Mayor. I’m enthusiastic about bringing my experience to this new team and continuing to deal with the challenges we face! The newcomers will bring creativity and different perspectives, while my experience will help us get right to work!

Manzanita has a lot on our plate:
Completion of the Comprehensive Plan
Funding of the new city office building
Decisions on the foredune project
Revenue diversification
Updating System Development Charges (SDC’s)
Short Term Rentals and the STR Committees work –
maintaining fiscal solvency while addressing real
livability issues
How to incent Workforce housing
Modernizing our City’s records
Water Rates (last evaluated 10 years ago)
Saving our trees
Many, many more

If I have the honor to serve, I will bring experience and leadership to support and inform a new direction. My leadership experience will bring continuity to the Council and will be important as we tackle the many issues Manzanita will face as we move into the future.

Tillamook County Commissioner Mary Faith Bell notes: “I have the utmost respect and appreciation for Linda’s leadership, her heart for service to the community and her ability to develop, nourish and maintain positive relationships with a wide range of people. Moreover, Linda is a dynamo, she accomplishes amazing things, and leads and inspires others to great works as well. Truly, it is accurate to say that Linda brings out the best in people, often more than they knew they were capable of. Linda’s continued leadership on the Manzanita City Council is in everyone’s best interest.”
