Invite to Virtual Raffle

Submitted By: kat4house@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Hi all,

I would like to invite everyone to a special virtual raffle fundraiser that starts tomorrow and goes to the 27th. Proceeds go towards the operational cost of a podcast that raises awareness around sexual exploitation and pushes for social change and stronger social security, especially for vulnerable women. You can see all items here: redlightexpose.betterworld.org

In many big cities across the globe, but even and especially here in the US, more young women are turning to the sex industry as an answer to the cost of living and housing crisis. Our podcast “Red Light Expose” in addition to many other issues, aims to solve the underlying problems that put people, overwhelmingly women, into desperate positions, and a society that blindly allows it. Many of the hosts are longtime survivors of the sex industry themselves and speak from experience. We also draw on the expertise of various academics and researchers from around the globe.

If you’re interested in listening to the podcast, it will be a new monthly show on XRAY FM 91.7 Nehalem every 1st Friday at 1 PM, starting July.

Attached also shares about a livestream event tomorrow that will kick off the raffle. Join us if you’d like!

Thank you.

Can’t forget this little immigration gem from Hillary Clinton. How soon we forget.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCrw7v6Worc

I’m personally an advocate for immigrants here locally. I just thought it might be educational for those of us who’s doom scrolling has clouded our memories. The establishment democrats (and republicans) are playing a game with us where we are but pawns in a billionaire’s racket.

Hegelian dialectic: Problem/Reaction/Solution

Dem establishement creates the “surge”, naturally problems will arise in communities unable to handle such a surge, chaos ensues (and wages conveniently suppressed across the board), and now the Trump wagon rolls in to implement the technocratic biometric real-time all-seeing-eye of a surveillance system (a la Palantir etc.) as the solution.

The “Biden” administration couldn’t quite get their “Covid vaccine card” (to track your monthly bio-compliance) biometric tracking system in place for the bilionaire technocrats, so they create a “problem” that Trump can conveniently find a “solution” to. And they get to rip our communities down the middle as a bonus.

Technocracy incoming. Bipartisan cooperation. How exemplary.

The revolution will not be televised, let alone promoted 24/7 like this current “no kings” pied piperism. Mean’t to divide us and keep us from coming together on CLASS ISSUES against the Oligarchs. Divide and rule indeed.

The revolution will be local and it will be face to face building community with those very neighbors that the corporate press is goading us to hate.

Don’t be a hater.

Matt

On the Street

We are truly blessed to be in this community.

Maybe

Maybe you were on the street,

Raised placard in your arms,

Maybe your feet were on the ground,

Your longing lifted with clear intention,

Maybe you had had enough,

Like others, you had begun to ask

How you could offer shelter, perhaps

an attic, out building, or basement,

Maybe you had begun to remember

The life-giving power in non-violent action.

Witness to the flowering of hope,

You are alive, free, and not alone.

Defending Integrity, Fairness In Women’s Sports

Submitted By: dixiegainer@icloud.com – Click to email about this post
Earlier this month in Oregon, House Republicans took decisive action to protect the integrity of women’s sports, locker rooms, and bathrooms. House Bill 2037, designed to ensure that only females compete in women’s athletics and have access to intimate spaces, was brought to a vote. Despite heartfelt testimonies from young female athletes advocating for fairness, the bill was unfortunately defeated along party lines, with every Democrat Legislator opposing the bill.
The battle for fairness in women’s sports is far from over. Female athletes deserve a level playing field—one where their hard work, dedication, and dreams are honored. It is unacceptable for girls and women to be forced into unfair competitions or uncomfortable situations in their own locker rooms.
While the vote was disappointing, House Republicans remain committed to defending the rights of female athletes and ensuring that girls have the opportunity to compete in a fair and protected environment. We will continue this fight—for fairness, for opportunity, and for the future of women’s sports.
Honoring Courageous Women. I had the honor of welcoming Reese Eckard, Maddie Eichen, and their moms to the Capitol. Reese, an accomplished athlete at Sherwood High School and second oldest of 7, has been high jumping since 5th grade and placed 4th at the Oregon State track and field championships last week. Reese is also one of the brave young women quietly, confidently, and respectfully taking a stand for fairness in women’s sports. At the championships, she refused to stand on the podium with a male athlete who unfairly competed with females.
Reese, thank you for your courage, for standing up for the truth and Title IX, the federal law meant to protect you from this discrimination. I understand you’re stepping up to ensure your two younger sisters have their rightful chance to compete fairly in sports. I commend you for your stand for fairness in women’s sports. Thank you for giving me the honor of recognizing you!
