Habitat Restoration Site Tour @ Nehalem River Ranch 7/5 at Noon

Submitted By: info@nehalemwatershed.org – Click to email about this post
The Nehalem Basin Partnership is hosting a series of site tours and public meetings to share salmon habitat restoration work that has been done in the Nehalem Watershed. The first of these site tours will be at the riparian and silvopasture plantings at the Nehalem River Ranch at 12:00 pm on July 5th, 2025. This tour will last 1-2 hours and is open to the public. Landowners with river or streamside properties are particularly encouraged to attend.

The Nehalem River Ranch is a multi-species, pasture-based farm that raises grass-fed beef and pastured pork while partnering with other local farmers who raise chickens, grow cut flowers, and other farm products. In 2020, Nehalem River Ranch partnered with the Nehalem Bay Watershed Council to plant over a mile of riparian trees and shrubs and 4 acres of silvopasture. Simultaneously, with support from the Tillamook Soil and Water Conservation District, Nehalem River Ranch also planted pollinator hedge rows between their pastures. Trees were planted and maintained by the Backyard Planting Program at Tillamook Estuaries Partnership.

“I’m very excited to share this project with our community,” says Zac Mallon, Director of the Nehalem Bay Watershed Council. “This is a great example of how managing Japanese knotweed on the banks of the Nehalem River isn’t a lost cause. The conifers planted in this project will push the knotweed out as their canopy develops. The trees are now reaching a size where grazing among the plantings for knotweed suppression is possible too!” He also says that this project will benefit salmon by absorbing nutrients from the fields, shading the river, and managing erosion by developing strong, fibrous root systems in the riverbank as erosion promoting knotweed gets pushed out.

This will be a walking tour through an active farm so please wear sturdy walking shoes or boots that can get dirty.

For more information about the tour or about the Nehalem Landowner Engagement Initiative please contact the Nehalem Bay Watershed Council at info@nehalemwatershed.org. More information on the Nehalem Basin Partnership and our outreach initiative can be found at www.nehalembasinpartnership.com/Nehalem-landowner-engagement-initiative . The Nehalem River Ranch website is www.nehalemriverranch.com . The Backyard Planting Program at Tillamook Estuaries Partnership can be found at www.tbnep.org/programs/habitat-restoration/backyard-planting-program/ .

This work is funded by grants from the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board and the Siletz Tribal Charitable Contribution Fund. We thank them for their support of habitat restoration in the Nehalem Watershed.

Manzanita Farmers Market Needs Volunteers

Submitted By: jamietaylormassage@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Hi local friends! It’s your friendly neighborhood volunteer recruiter for the Manzanita Farmers Market. We have had an amazing early season crew that has been consistently showing up week after week to help set up or break down the market! Yay! The market goes from empty field to full service farmers market and back to empty field again in a matter of hours. This involves a quick bunch of hauling of signs and tents and tables and chairs. We could not do it without our volunteers! The amazing folks who have been showing up every week are gone for most of July. We need some more amazing people to participate! And the more the merrier! Many hands make light work! Please be in touch if you’ve got some muscle and some time on Fridays starting this week. There is a set up shift from 2:45-4 and a breakdown shift from 6:45-7:45. Thank you! You can reply to my email here or at VolunteerManzMarket@gmail.com

Hillside Overlay/Zoning Adherence

Submitted By: heidiangelaparker@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
How is it we can live in our county for years and have someone buy a vacant property near you and cause utter chaos and possible major property damage by not following ordinances that have been on the books for 40 years? We live in an Hillside Overlay zone area, where specific and important ordinances
( and all over our state and country) need to be followed to prevent major landslide/hillside destabilization. How can people come in from another state and buy property and start majorly cutting down trees all the way up a very steep 200- foot slope jeopardizing houses above, as well as below? How can people not have a building permit approved, but yet cut healthy, beautiful 100-year old trees down? Our city website clearly says, that no trees can be cut from a hillside overlay zone PRIOR to a building permit, aside from brush clearing for surveying purposes. Last year, we had a river of muddy water wash onto our property from rain runoff which went directly down the street and eventually into the bay. Currently, in Kings County, Washington, there is a major lawsuit brought on by the county suing landowners for clearing trees without a permit. This is not what I want to see here in Tillamook County. Why does it have to come to this?

Some rules “on this books” are archaic and silly, I get it. But who helps in this situation? The situation is urgent, and cities, I know are running on tight budgets. What happens if insurance companies get drift of this and cancel our insurance? Does anyone have any insight? Have you experienced anything like this?

Independence Day? not so much…

Submitted By: bigbeach@gmx.com – Click to email about this post
FROM KGW:

“States learned on June 13 that HHS had transferred Medicaid data for millions of people to DHS. Rayfield’s office said they’re aware of reports that the federal government plans to use this data to fuel mass deportations and other immigration enforcement activities.”

In my view, the deportations ARE NOT the main reason Drumf and Elon wanted (and got) all of Oregonians health data.

Elon and Drumf do not care about folks living here unlawfully. In fact, Drumf is the nation’s number one beneficiary of Dems illegal open borders policy. The deportations, to Drumf and co., are just smoke and mirrors for even more sinister plans that will affect EVERYONE LIVING IN OREGON, legally or otherwise.

In my view, dems fueled Drumf’s draconian deportation effort when they violated the will of the majority of Americans and broke our laws, and disrespected our nation’s sovereignty, when they intentionally encouraged folks to illegally cross our borders and enter our country illegally. It is now those whom they encouraged to come that are suffering the most.

Little did open-border dems know, perhaps, that they were doing the bidding of Elon-esque billionaires and Donald Drumf, both of whom love open borders more than the Democrats, though for other reasons.

Why do Elon and Drumf love open borders more than Democrats? Please continue reading.

“This is a sad day for our democracy and a scary day for millions of people,” said the coalition of plaintiffs including American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees; the American Federation of Teachers; and the Alliance for Retired Americans, who are represented by Democracy Forward.
“This ruling will enable President Trump and DOGE’s affiliates to steal Americans’ private and personal data,” they said, while vowing to “use every legal tool at our disposal” to prevent the misuse of public data as the case moves forward.”

From Kathleen Fitts’ Solari Report:

“Based on detailed reporting by WIRED magazine, it appears that significant federal data are being privatized on the “just do it” method, presumably through Musk’s Xai and its partnership with Palantir. There is also a push for digitizing federal systems and records and updating systems. DOGE is focusing on agencies that handle high-quality payment data for most or all Americans, including Social Security, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and Treasury. These are some of the agencies whose data would be most appropriate for implementing programmable money with a social credit system.”

THE PLAN OF ELON AND DRUMF AND BLACKROCK IS TO INSTITUTE A SOCIAL CREDIT SYSTEM AS IS CURRENTLY IN PLACE IN CHINA

THIS WILL MEAN THAT IF YOU ARE NOT UP TO THE SPECS PROGRAMMED INTO MUSK AND PALANTIR’S A.I. SYSTEM, THEIR A.I. SYSTEM WILL CUT YOU OFF LIKE HAPPENED TO THE TRUCKERS IN CANADA WHEN THE DRIVERS REFUSED TO INJECT GATE’S AND PFIZER’S MRNA-GENE THERAPY SHOTS:

www.newsweek.com/banks-have-begun-freezing-accounts-linked-trucker-protest-1680649

Implementing their A.I. payment system is only one reason why Drumf and Elon and Palantir and Blackock just got a hold of all of Oregonian’s health data.

“To build a digital control grid, digital IDs must link with programmable money and interoperable systems across multiple platforms (banks, credit cards, online payment systems), which can be integrated with social credit and surveillance systems. The data capacity required for an all-digital monetary system combined with programmable money and a social credit system is significant, as are the related energy demands.”

(NOTE THE VEILED REFERENCE TO ‘REAL ID’??)

The health data will also give them info for the implementation of this:

“Stargate LLC (Data Centers and AI)
The Stargate initiative involves the building out of data centers sufficient to support a complete control grid and all-digital monetary system.”

“The Stargate proposal for personalized mRNA “vaccines” for cancer (and everything else) indicates a plan to roll out the injection program sufficient to implement the Internet of Bodies and continue to lower life expectancy. Stargate funding also helps support the ongoing global rollout of “mega” vaccine factories. It is not clear how Musk’s desire through Neuralink to insert mesh networks inside human brains fits in, as it appears that injections can get the system most if not all of the way to where it wants to go—and it is much easier to market injections that are “good” for you.”

DID YOU READ THAT?? NO LONGER ANY NEED FOR MUSK’S NEURALNK: NANO-TECH AND METALS IN THE SHOTS (AND FROM STRATEGIC AEROSOL INJECTIONS OVER OUR HEADS IN THE SKY, and NANO-TECH PUT IN OUR FOOD) CAN ACCOMPLISH THE SAME THING!

(My health advice? Cleanse metals from your body asap and well into the future. Know your farmer. Stay away from processed foods, especially all that ‘plant-based’ processed frankenfood, and anything from Kroger, Kraft, etc.

Make no mistake about it, these tech billionaires are megalomaniacal psychopaths whose religion is ‘trans humanism”. They fully intend to enslave Oregonians further while REDUCING OUR POPULATION as THEY start living for 150 years old or longer. The lab-engineered bank-engineered ’covid’ scam was a beta test for all this stuff. We need to get ready to: “Carry Our Vaccine IDs” (COVID). The pathogen they engineered was an avian flu/ SARS virus. There is no such pathogen called “covid”.

These psychopaths love their hidden meanings, like DOGE:

“Doge refers to the chief magistrate in the republics of Venice and Genoa, a title used during the medieval and early modern periods. This historical usage highlights the word’s roots in European political systems, where the Doge served as a leader figure in these maritime republics.”

I highly recommend ANYONE IN OREGON POLITICS TO IMMEDIATELY READ as much as you can of Kathleen Fitts work at the Solari Report, she’s right over the target.

Wyden and Merkeley know all of this stuff; and they don’t care, they love big tech and their own power more than they love you.

Put the phone down and drive

Submitted By: jampaulson@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Our daughter is a funeral director at a Portland mortuary that is working with the families of two girls, age 12 and 15, killed in an accident on 101 last week when a car “drifted” into the oncoming traffic, leading to a three-car accident.

This is not the first time in the past couple of months where a driver crossed the center line on 101 or 26, leading to fatal accidents. These were not teenage drivers and no mention of alcohol has been reported. What causes lucid, mature drivers to cross the center line in broad daylight? Could it be texting or cell phone use? Seems like a reasonable guess.

Don’t text and drive! Please put your phone down to drive. Keep your attention focused on the road. Your life or the life of someone’s son or daughter may depend on it.
