It’s time for SPRING CLEANING of our energetic spaces, too!
Replenish your systems & harmonize in tune with the rebirthing energies of spring in this 2-hour yin yoga, positive affirmations and crystal singing bowl sound bath experience!

Melt away the old layers of winter as you relax into a deep yin yoga practice, holding passive shapes, supported down on the mat, for several minutes at a time. Yin allows the muscles, nervous system and connective tissues to untangle and soften open. This is a very gentle practice, done mostly lying down on the mat with supportive props.

Next, enjoy a Positive Affirmations Guided Visualization practice, coupled with the powerful, energy-balancing resonance of quartz crystal singing bowls!

Sea Dream’s owner April Clark, has taught yoga & offered energy healing work for over a decade. She will guide you through this Spring Renewal reset experience!

Space is limited to 8 people (and only 4 spots available).

Submitted By: pattyrinehart@nehalemtel.net – Click to email about this post
Hello Friends,

The North Coast Resistance will be in Nehalem, this Saturday, April 11, from noon to 2 PM. Please feel free to come and join us in our protest. Our protest is mainly against how President Trump is running and ruining our country.

Our county (USA) and President Trump and Israel and Benjamin Netanyahu have our country in jeopardy by starting a War. Yesterday in Lebanon at least 182 people were killed and 890 wounded, many of them civilians. We/they are tearing up that part of the world and to what end?

Money, power, and the I’ve got mine and to heck with the rest of you attitude has gotten us what?
Join us. Do not give up!
Best,
Patty

Timothy Snyder on Genocide: Add-On

Submitted By: stayhuman@tutamail.com – Click to email about this post
Responding to Gene’s post:

Drumf’s threats of using nuclear weapons are also in violation of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

I also think it is important that we continuously acknowledge Israel’s role in all of this. Drumf is on Israel’s pay roll, and he has been tight with the Zionist crowd for a long time, having been bailed out in the 90s by the Rothschilds, having been mentored by Ray Cohn, aka “ Joe McCarthy‘s brain”, having been ‘in’ with Epstein for decades, and more.

I also think it’s important that we acknowledge that the Palestinian genocide and the Greater Israel Project began during King Biden’s reign, which was full of Israel-first Zionists. And I think it’s important to acknowledge that (in my view) this would all still be happening had Kamala Harris assumed the throne.

Our Senator Ron Wyden is also an unending supporter of Israel’s wars. I hope Oregonians wake up to Ron the Con and replace him when he runs in the mid-terms. And I hope he is met with screams of righteous anger during his upcoming town halls.
The things Israel is doing in our names, and with our money, are Hitlerian in nature, and like nothing I have witnessed in my lifetime.

Look what Israel did yesterday, dropping 100 bombs in ten minutes, killing 250 people and maiming thousands more in Beirut. All because Israel and the Christian Zionists want their land.

I want a senator who will take this kind of info to the Senate floor and scream for it to stop, scream for us to stop funding a genocidal terrorist state. Ron Wyden will never do that; he supports this kind of atrocity. He continuously defends Israel, votes for their weapons sales, votes in support of their wars, like he (and Hillary) did Iraq.

www.thenationalnews.com/news/mena/2026/04/08/dozens-killed-in-beirut-massacre-as-israel-drops-100-bombs-in-10-minutes/

Let’s make this anti-war film go viral! The time for this movie is now! This is an information war first, the bombs come second. We can stop Drumf and Israel in their genocidal tracks! Viral I say! Can you help???

GE Fridge and Gas Range

Submitted By: k.r.yurka@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
My kitchen remodel is moving right along, so out with the old appliances to make room for the new!

The GE fridge is a side by side, counter depth unit that holds a lot of food! The water dispenser and ice maker are non-functional, but the food stays frozen/cold. It’s still pretty enough for a kitchen or could be a nice garage fridge.

The range is a GE slide-in gas range, converted for propane (easy to convert back to LNG). It still works perfectly and is clean.

They are yours for $200 each / $300 for both, or best offer. All offers considered, and proceeds go to the North County Food Bank.

Claim them by April 15, or they will go to recycling – there’s a lot of life still left in them!!

Texts are best; I don’t check email as often.

Writing from the Perspectives of the More-than-Human World

We are not often asked to consider the lives of other beings or landscapes on their own terms. Meanwhile, literature is recognized as a rare means to enter the thoughts and feelings of people and characters different from ourselves to cultivate empathy.

What happens when we extend this practice to the more-than-human world? In this workshop, we will explore texts making this leap and play with what we discover to expand our own creative writing. Writers of all genres and backgrounds are welcome for this one-day creative writing workshop.

Please direct any questions about this workshop to: writing@hoffmanarts.org

You can register at this link: hoffmanarts.org/events/more-than-human/?

beach haiku

Submitted By: babbles@nehalemtel.net – Click to email about this post
to bbq readers,

sunday evening beach walk:

sand warm ’neath bare feet’
as i tread the sandy beach/
in easter sun’s glow.

feathery white clouds/
grace the afternoon blue sky/
silver sheen on sea.

and now tonight, a unique experience.
i am beyond grateful that i live in this splendid community on the beautiful north oregon coast.

a murmuration!
dunlins along horizon/
suddenly appear.

unique sighting/
never before graced my eyes/
this woman feels blessed.

then comes such color/
a splendid rosy sunset/
moving to pink the sand.

all ephemeral/
soon fading from ocean view/
moments to treasure.
