Hi there. My name is Drew and I am re-posting this amazing message as I may not have presented it in the best light. Oliver is not a Repub or Dem. He is simply calling out the powers that be – for what they are. America has had enough and we’re not going to take it anymore! Cheers, Drew.

As summer fades into fall we are harvesting and preparing for pruning, tucking in, supporting wildlife through the winter and preparing for spring vibes. We wanted to let you know about a few things we have on hand to help you through all of these transitions:

Native Plant Sale with Aldervale Natives
September 2nd 10am -4pm
Corner of Manzanita and Division on the Dirty Birds Lot
Summer is winding down and that little bit of rain got us excited about adding more natives to our garden. So we reached out to local native plant specialist and grower Hope Stanton. If you have not met Hope you need to. So come on by September 2nd from 10-4 and ask her all of the questions and buy plants from her!

Late summer/fall are ideal times to plant trees, shrubs, groundcovers, and grasses in the Pacific Northwest. The sale will include PNW plants for both sandy, salty, summer drought conditions and shadier spots. Sun and sand tolerant include: Manzanita, Wax myrtle, a low growing Ceonanthus, Shore pine and Dune tansy and others. Shade loving plants include Vine maple, Wild ginger, Oregon boxwood, and Devil’s club.

Native plant seed packets will also be available.

A list of available plants can be found at their website aldervale.net

Let’s talk

Tired of angry, divisive politics? Let’s try this, getting together for civil conversations about the things that matter to us. I’m looking for “reds”, “blues” and “in-betweens”. This week we plan to wrap up our discussion about ranked choice voting and open primaries. (on the ballot next year) Maybe go on to “intellectual humility”, but maybe you would like a better subject. Ground rules are very simple. (1.) Everybody brings their best manners. (2.) Nobody talks for more than 4 minutes at a stretch. (3.) Nobody comes to win an argument or change anybody’s mind. (4.) Listening is more important than talking. Zoom meetings Friday’s at 9 AM and/or Saturday’s. at 10AM Friday, 9AM Invite : us06web.zoom.us/j/82147366055?pwd=VTU1UWVzYnUxOC8zWE1qRUkxRUJhUT09 Saturday 10AM Invite us06web.zoom.us/j/83271599024?pwd=TTg5dUtydk1McTFpd21nYTNDaFdBZz09 For more information contact Jim Heffernan at jheffernan@braverangels.org or at codger817@gmail.com

FREE FOR PICK UP THIS WEEKEND

Submitted By: Ali.stewart@me.com – Click to email about this post
Items free for pick up.

1. Dogger Dog Stroller. So great for senior pups – bought especially for use in the beach. Was $325 new 2 years ago. Only used handful of times, it has a bit of overspray of green paint on the wheels (pretty sure will clean off) from garage storage. Would love to see it go to help another senior pup enjoy some beach time!

2. Brown metal, vinyl and fabric vintage chair. Great condition.

3. Large orange Coolaroo dog lounger / bed for outside use. Never used. Our dog just doesn’t use it

4. Herman Miller new filing cabinet. Received wrong item by design within reach a while ago. It’s got to be put together properly – believe all the parts are there but can’t be sure.

5.Large wood framed Elgin shadow box clock with dried flowers behind glass.

Please text 9713341623 with Qs or which item you’ll like to pick up and when. Will share exact address – off Beulah Reed Rd in Neahkahnie.
