Update to Lawsuit Response

I want to acknowledge that the Pioneer updated the article Cara Mico wrote. They removed the word lawsuit after the article posted. While I got it right about Will Stone’s posts, I was mistaken about Randy Kugler’s use of the word lawsuit. I believed he used that word in a response to someone’s post but when I looked, I couldn’t find it. I want to apologize for my mistake. In future posts I’ll make sure to slow my roll and include direct quotes as I usually have in the past.

IN SEARCH OF A STOVE FROM THE 1970s FOR OUR NEXT PLAY

Submitted By: fsquillo@riverbendplayers.org – Click to email about this post

Hi!

Riverbend Players needs a stove from the 1970s for our next production.

The popular colors back then were avocado green, yellow, and brown. It’s a very Brady Bunch-looking stove.

I’ve attached a picture as an example of what we’re looking for.

It doesn’t have to work, and we could return it after production.

If you don’t have one, ask around for us. We’d appreciate the help!

Thanks, and Happy Holidays!!!

Community Sacred Grief Circle
Somatic Practices & Sound Healing

The holidays can bring up big emotions for many of us and often it can be hard to know how to deal with them.

If you are feeling sad this holiday season-you’re not alone. Please join us in our Community Grief Monthly circle to get support and tools that can help.

In this free 2 hour event we will be offering:

-Community sharing circle (for up to 12 people)
-Two somatic (body based) practices that can help you relate and process grief and other emotions as they move through you.
-Gentle sound healing to relax and integrate the practice

Somatic therapies work directly with your body- where your emotions are held.

You will practice noticing what you’re feeling without judgement, resistance or a desire to change it.

Then you’ll learn an anchoring technique to help you feel big emotions while also finding safety in your body.

These two techniques (noticing/tracking the charge and anchoring) are essential tools for anyone trying to get through the times we live in.

This will be followed by a short sound healing – a beautiful way of letting the body relax and release without having to go through the mind.

I hope you can join us!

Please RSVP to info@northfork53.com if you plan to attend.

We are limited to 12 people for this circle.

Bee well,
xoxo

FINAL THREE SHOWS! DEC. 15th – 17th at the NCRD Performing Arts Center in Nehalem.
Reserved Seating and Showtimes at www.RiverbendPlayers.org Children 12 and under $10, General $20, Premium $25
A CHRISTMAS STORY: Humorist Jean Shepherd’s memoir of growing up in the Midwest in the late 1930s follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker in his quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun under the tree for Christmas.
Ralphie pleads his case before his mother, his teacher, and even Santa Claus himself at Higbee’s Department Store. The consistent response: “You’ll shoot your eye out!”
All the elements from the beloved motion picture are here, including the family’s temperamental exploding furnace; Scut Farkas, the school bully; the boys’ experiment with a wet tongue on a cold lamppost; the Little Orphan Annie decoder pin; Ralphie’s father winning a lamp shaped like a woman’s leg in a net stocking; Ralphie’s fantasy scenarios and more.

Personal collection of high-end furniture and decorative items

Submitted By: missbboyer@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
I have a large building full of both antiques and high-end furniture and decorative items.

It’s a lot, and I need to empty the building for another use.

These items have been appraised, but that’s not my goal. I would like to see these quality items go to those in the area who appreciate them regardless of appraisal.

Let me know if you would like to know more or in need of some thing that I might have.

Malinois looking for experienced home

Submitted By: Frogmonkeys@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
We are looking for a new home for our sweet girl. Turns 1 on December 14. Up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Not spayed, she is still too young. She does good with dogs and ok with cats. Best with bigger dogs. Has been around kids of various ages and does well. She’s still just a big puppy herself. We aren’t asking a rehoming fee just that she can find someone who knows her breed and has the time to work with her like she deserves. She has a wire kennel, leash, and harness. If you’d like to learn more or meet her please email frogmonkeys@gmail.com

Free counter depth fridge

Submitted By: chazkingsley@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
We are passing along our Conserv counter depth fridge freezer. We bought it new 15 years ago and it has worked well ever since.
We want this to go to someone local in need of good fridge that will hopefully provide many more years of service. We’re in manzanita and it will be first come first serve. I’m available the next 24 hours and then away til mid January.
Dimensions: 79” h x 23” w x 24” d (26” with handles). Some wear, and no guarantees, but we’ve been using it as second fridge for the past 4 years without a problem, which we no longer need. It will take a little dolly and a couple people to take away.

Flood Us With Support!!

Dear Community,

We were preparing the store for you – dressing up our mannequins, making cedar boughs and hanging vintage decorations.

Then, the rain came. A lot of rain.

The rain came with such force, it burst a culvert above our building and sent a muddy river through our office, store, workshop and out the front door! 4 inches of water pooled at our front counter the following morning. Fans, heaters and de-humidifiers are running full blast as we try to dry out walls and contents.

One might think, “it’s all trash, right? It was headed for the landfill.” Wrong.

We believe that discards are valuable resources. We love every piece of artwork, old book, severed doll head, vintage typewriter, and handmade card in our store. We lovingly unboxed and cleaned and repaired every single thing on our shelves. We are now looking across the store at damp chaos and it’s heartbreaking.

We promised each item that we would find it a new home.

We need the store’s revenue to burst into Spring with fresh energy, to organize Trash Bash, to pay our vision leader! Aside from closing to dry out, we are looking to close for a longer winter break, so we can reorganize.

Can you please give a little to help us cover operations this winter?

From The Heart – Thank you!
