Nice and lightly used rug runner. Soft material with semi-grippy backing. Used literally a handful of times. Around 8’x 2′. $10.

Push lawn mower. Not used many times, less than 2 dozen. In excellent shape but the blade could stand to be sharpened. $15.

We are interested in creating a small afterschool (approx from 3-5pm) Spanish/English childcare group 2-3 days/week and maybe some weekends if possible. There is possibility to have it hosted at our house in Cannon Beach or a public community space in Cannon Beach or Seaside.

New Roof for Manzanita Library

Greetings Friends of the library!
North Tillamook Library Friends is pleased to announce that work has already begun to put a brand new roof, fascias, & gutters on our beautiful Manzanita library building. All work will be performed without interrupting normal library hours, but for safety reasons the patio may be off limits. This is a big job! Fortunately, and thanks to your generous support of NTLF, funds were available for this unexpected repair & expense. We’re excited for you to meet our newest expert fixer, Alyssa.
Alyssa brings over 10 years of hands-on experience in repairing and maintaining her own sewing machines, and while she’s not a professional machine mechanic, she’s passionate about helping others keep their machines in top shape. Here’s how Alyssa can assist you:
Clothing Repairs & Alterations
Basic Machine Maintenance: Sometimes all your machine needs is a little TLC! Alyssa can perform basic maintenance, like cleaning and oiling, to get your old machine running smoothly again.
Basic Repairs & Adjustments: If your machine is skipping stitches or refusing to make stitches, Alyssa can take a look. She has experience with adjusting machine timing, one of the most common culprits behind these issues.

Mend it like it matters…because it does!

Large Antique milk can-Copper

I LOVE this old copper milk can. I’ve had it for more than 30 years. But it just doesn’t vibe with my current interior goals in my new little house.
Yes, it needs a proper polish and I’m not up to doing it.
I can’t remember what I paid for it but it was likely a few hundred dollars. I looked online and though I can’t find the exact model, most of them were 300$-500$

I’ll let her go for 100$ to someone who just knows it would look cool in their home.

Master Recyclers Program Revitalization!!

Thanks to funding from Oregon Community Foundation – BottleDrop Fund, Visit Tillamook Coast and Tillamook County Solid Waste, the Master Recyclers course got a refreshing makeover. Heart of Cartm provided updated coursework and Deer Island Studio developed a stunning new logo.

Join the Master Recyclers Program This Fall and Become a Community Environmental Leader!

Participants of this Fall’s course will have the opportunity to learn from experts, engage in hands-on activities, and connect with like-minded individuals passionate about sustainability.
Upon completion of the 21 hour course, Master Recyclers will be equipped to volunteer and educate others, fostering a culture of sustainability within Tillamook County. Graduates of the program become valuable educators and advocates, leading by example and sharing their expertise with neighbors, schools, and local organizations as Master Recyclers!
One of the unique aspects of the Master Recyclers program is that there is no cost to participate. Instead, we ask that you complete a volunteer service project as an exchange for the training you receive. This project is an integral part of your learning experience, allowing you to apply the skills and knowledge you’ve gained in a real-world setting. Through this service, you’ll not only solidify your own understanding but also contribute meaningfully to the sustainability efforts within Tillamook County, making a lasting impact on your community. You’ll also receive a sweatshirt with the Master Recyclers hot new logo!

Well, now he is going for a walk. “I’ll spend time and talk with people who I meet along the path and who come to walk with me, practicing compassionate communication with each interaction.” Robin explains as he embarks on a 1700 mile journey down the Pacific Coast Highway.

News from the Nehalem Bay Health District

As construction begins to ramp up on the new Nehalem Bay Health Center and Pharmacy in Wheeler, the District and it’s contractor – Bremik Construction – will be posting regular updates on social media and at local post offices.

Ground preparation is continuing, including the removal of the foundation of the old school that was once on the site at Highway 101 and Hospital Road.
