NO CASH = NO FREEDOM

If humanity’s latest experiment in democracy, America, is going to survive, we need another 1776, NOW.

We are quickly running out of time.

All Oregon politicians are useless in the face of this, from Lyin’ Wyden to ‘Israel First’ Drazan.

Don’t look for ‘leaders’ to save you.

‘Be the change you wish to see in the world’.

WE ARE ALL 1776

The new revolution starts when WE say it does!

United Paws of Tillamook Cat of the Week: Charlotte

Submitted By: website@unitedpaws.org – Click to email about this post
Charlotte is a beautiful gray kitty with soft white fur on her chest and dainty white tipped toes. She has dreamy yellow eyes, long white whiskers and a striking black nose.

Charlotte loves attention and will be the first to cuddle on any available lap. She likes to play but will run to any friendly human, looking for a snuggle. She especially loves to have her head and neck scratched. She is definitely a lap cat!

Charlotte will make a wonderful companion because she wants to be a part of whatever is happening – especially when there might be an opportunity for a head scratch or a tummy rub. Charlotte has so much love to share and cannot wait to get started with her own forever family.

To learn more about Sweet Charlotte please visit unitedpaws.org, email unitedpawsapps@gmail.com, or call 502-842-5663.

Genuine Cedar Chest

Submitted By: dldave13@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
This chest has an authentic cedar wood lining and seals tightly to keep woolen and other goods safe from insect damage. The outside is a bit scuffed, but could easily be refinished. I think it was made by Lane. Though not labeled, it does have a serial number on the bottom. You can pick it up in Cannon Beach for $20. Contact dldave13@gmail.com for more information.

The John Lewis Protest in Nehalem was a great success, drawing at least 85 people. The participants from a remarkable range of places. Attendees came from across Oregon—including Rockaway Beach, Tillamook, Nehalem, Wheeler, Manzanita, Salem, Redmond, Portland, Klamath Falls, and Cannon Beach—as well as from out-of-state locations such as Seattle, Blaine, and Kirkland (Washington); Gary (Indiana); Palm Desert (California); Las Vegas (Nevada); and Boston (Massachusetts). The diversity of our group was truly inspiring, and we appreciated every person who joined us.

Throughout the event, conversations centered around issues and programs affecting people throughout the United States and around the world. Your presence and thoughtful discussions made a real difference, and we look forward to welcoming even more new faces at future gatherings.

We will be meeting again next Saturday, July 26th, from noon to 2 pm. The location is still being finalized, but I will send an update as soon as it is confirmed, so please stay tuned for details.

Thank you all for your support and for showing up! Together, we’re making a positive impact.

Best regards,

New Showtime for People vs Agent Orange

People vs Agent Orange-New Showtimes

On Tuesday, August 12 NCCWP will be showing the film The People vs Agent Orange in Astoria. We are grateful to have the use of the wonderful space at KALA, 1017 Marine Drive, Astoria for the screening. Doors open at 6pm with the film starting at 7pm. Food and drink will be available for purchase. Tickets are $5 each and will be sold at the door. We hope you can join us.
Another showing is also planned for Tillamook sometime this fall. Stay tuned!

About the film- The Agent Orange catastrophe did not end with the Vietnam War. Today, the world over, a primary chemical of the toxic defoliant (dioxin) controls weeds in farming, forestry, parks, and playgrounds. It wreaks havoc on the human genome, causing birth deformities and deadly cancers.
This investigative documentary interweaves personal with political struggles as it follows two heroic women who are leading a worldwide movement to hold manufacturers of these herbicides accountable. In France, Tran To Nga (Trahn-Toe-Nyah) sues the American chemical industry for poisoning her in Vietnam. In the U.S., Carol Van Strum exposes the continuing use of toxic herbicides, many still containing dioxin. Incriminating documents disappear. Activists are threatened. A helicopter technician secretly films the contamination of reservoirs. The massive industrial cover-up continues. The film won the 2021 Jury Award at the Eugene Environmental Film Festival.

NCCWP wants no more logging and pesticide use in community water sources regardless of who owns the land, and wants an end to pesticide applications near where people live, work and recreate. Safe drinking water and clean air are part of the public trust that we all are entitled to have. 2003 Subaru Outback FREE with extra tires!

Submitted By: revolutionginger@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Must find a new home for my old 2003 Subaru Outback!

I’m leaving the country and would like to gift her to a person who could use her in our community:)

Starts up and drives fine 95% of the time but lately she’s been doing a weird stalling-losing power thing at random intervals (especially after driving at higher speeds on the highway).

I’ve kept on driving her around town despite the occasional stall out and now I’m out of time to take her to a mechanic to find out what the issue is.

She is yours for free so you can invest some money into getting whatever is causing the stalling issue fixed.

I have four good snow/ice tires on her and four other regular tires in the back seat for rotation.

Clean Oregon title comes with it.

She’s parked in the Nehalem Public Parking lot if you want to take a look at her.

Text me if you are interested in adoption!

BumpStep
BumpStep is a trailer hitch-mounted bumper protector available in two widths: 12″ and 24″ (BumpStep XL), that defends your truck or SUV against rear end accidents, dents and scratches. Both options are molded from two proprietary resins for added strength and impact resistance.

The base is molded from a sturdy material that resists flexing, while the second layer is a softer, impact absorbing material, lessening the blow caused by minor accidents. You will be happy to have it when that stray grocery cart or hard-to-see fire hydrant shows up!

As a secondary benefit, and as the name implies, BumpStep doubles as a step, helping you reach your vehicle’s roof. BumpStep can support up to 300 lbs., providing you access to a roof rack, bike or kayak, or to wash the roof of your vehicle and brush off snow.

For standard SUVs and trucks, choose regular BumpStep, and for larger vehicles, choose BumpStep XL to protect a greater portion of the vehicle’s bumper. New price is $127. Your price on this lightly used (one month or so) BumpStep is $80.00

Fits 2” trailer receiver only

$80.00

Thanks, BBQ!
