Free Reclining loveseat

This upholstered reclining loveseat is in excellent condition – It is 6 feet wide -light blue – I have had it under cover ever since I bought it – totally free of stains – the only dirty part is where shoes rest on the footrest.

My daughter is moving in and bringing some of her furniture with her so it has to go.

We do not have any way of moving this so you will have to move it. We will be moving it out of the house on Friday July 18th – If no one wants it the movers are taking it to the dump.

Buddies are encouraged for safety—use the buddy system if you feel uncomfortable.

Look for individuals in orange vests for information or assistance regarding event logistics and safety.

Community Support

Last week, we collectively donated 60 pounds of food to the North County Foodbank—let’s do it again! Bring your non-perishable food items to support local families in need, especially children who rely on school meals and summer community services. Donations can be delivered at the event, or sent to:

North County Foodbank (NCFB), PO Box 162, Wheeler, Oregon, 97147

Join Captain Thron Riggs, retired Columbia River Bar Pilot, at a reception for his show “Wildscapes” at the NCRD Gallery, 36155 9th Street in Nehalem, on Saturday, July 12 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Riggs, who has a deep affinity for the Oregon Coast, and particularly the Nehalem Bay area, will be showing 40 new paintings—many showcasing this rugged landscape.
North County Recreation District (NCRD) is hosting the show for Captain Riggs who has generously offered 80% of the proceeds from the show to support the vital role NCRD plays in the health and wellness of the Nehalem Bay area community.
Since retiring from his active, unique standing as one of 14 bar pilots on the Columbia River bar, Captain Riggs continues to enjoy the bounty of life on the north Oregon Coast as an avid surfer, painter, musician (viola), radio host and maritime scholar. He began his career on the sea on merchant ships after graduation from high school and spent 27 years on ships, the last seven as Master. He became a Columbia River Bar Pilot in 1993.
Plan to attend the reception to meet Capt. Riggs on July 12 to meet Capt. Riggs—ever the quintessential sea captain—where he is always standing ready to deliver sea stories or the inside scoop on what it is really like to pilot a giant ship through the world’s most dangerous bar.
“Wildscapes” will be up the entire month of July and is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. or weekends by appointment. Call 503-368-3203.

Ride share or carpool?

Submitted By: elusivetailwind@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Greetings!

I’m a resident of Manzanita that may end up with an employment position in Tillamook. The hours are a bit outside of the public transit windows, and am curious as to whether there may be someone that commutes to Tillamook that is looking for/willing to accommodate someone for a ride share/carpool? I would certainly offer to split gas, and perhaps even offer up some cooked/baked treats! Would possibly only be looking for a one way excursion, as public transit would be able to cover the other. Please feel free to contact me through email with any questions, suggestions, or offers. Thanks so much for your time!
