Rare Carved Camphor Chinese Chest
The camphor chest has beautifully carved detail on all sides of the trunk with a sailing boat theme. The trunk opens smoothly and when closed, provides a tight seal. The brass hardware is all in great condition. The chest measures 31″W x 15″T x 15″D. Has the original brass key (which is very rare). This size sells for $500-$950, depending on age and details. I am selling for $250.

Manzanita Farmers Market week 13: Friday 4-7
Music this week is by Dean Mueller. After years of performing with renowned bands and blues legends, Dean stepped into the spotlight with his 2023 debut solo album Life Ain’t All Roses, which introduced audiences to his blend of storytelling and folk-inspired melodies rooted in blues tradition. Based in Oregon since 1998, Dean has become a vital figure in the region’s music scene, both as a performer and a promoter. With his 2024 album Wishes Never Gone, he continues to carve his own path—writing songs that resonate with authenticity and invite listeners to hold on to the dreams and desires that never truly fade.
Our sponsor of the week is Sunset Vacation Rentals. Located right here on Laneda, they provide property management and vacation rental services in and around Manzanita. They were quick to support the farmers market and our Triple Up SNAP match, where we provide an extra $20 to SNAP shoppers to spend at the market every week. We appreciate the local businesses who support our vendors, our market, and our community!
See you all Friday, 4-7 at 635 Manzanita Ave.
ISO, borrow a Cello
I have a 15 yr old guest coming tomorrow for the weekend. She is very much into learning the Cello and is taking lessons. Unfortunately there was no extra room in the car to bring hers. Do you by chance have one I could borrow? This is a very responsible, respectful young girl and I’d love to hear her practice and play. Please call or text me at 503-936-1511. I could pick up tomorrow afternoon or Saturday. Thank you for any consideration.

Cannon Beach Library Hosts NOCS Musical Story Time

NEHALEM PROTEST ON AUGUST 9 TH.
We invite you to join our peaceful protest in Nehalem! This gathering is a chance to stand together for our community, raise our voices, and build connections with one another. Please note the updated time: the protest will be held on August 9th, Saturday, from noon to 1:30 PM. We adjusted the schedule because many of us wish to attend the Memorial Service for Chuck McLaughlin at 2 PM at White Clover Grange near Mohler.
About the Protest
This is a PEACEFUL PROTEST, and we welcome everyone—people of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences. Whether you’re a longtime supporter or new to our group, we look forward to seeing you—everyone is welcome! The weather looks promising, so we suggest dressing in layers and bringing a bottle of water. We have some protest signs available, and you’re encouraged to bring your own if you like. If you need a chair to stay comfortable during the event (as many of us do), please bring one along—whatever makes it easier for you to participate works for us.
Supporting Our Community
Along with raising awareness, we’re continuing our tradition of collecting food and monetary donations for our local food bank, North County Food Bank (NCFB) in Wheeler. Your donations make a real difference for families in our community—every can of food or dollar helps support neighbors in need during the summer months. Checks for the food bank can be sent to NCFB, PO Box 162, Wheeler, Oregon, 97147. We’ll also have a collection bin at the protest for donated food. If you wish, please consider a check to Nehalem Bay Community Services (NBCS), PO Box 232, Nehalem, Oregon, 97131—the primary food source for many local kids during the summer. Both organizations are deeply grateful for the community’s ongoing support and generosity.
Staying Connected
We must not abandon our support for one another, even when it feels as if higher levels of government have stepped back. Each act of kindness and solidarity helps strengthen our community.
Thank you all,
Patty Rinehart

Joy Lymph Flow fascia freedom classes
There are two class opportunities for you in Nehalem weekly:
Tuesday evenings at NCRD
5:15-6:45
This evening class is a slower flow helping us to destress, unwind and ready our bodies for a delicious nights sleep providing good rest and healing time. Great for beginners!
Thursday mornings at Sea Dream Yoga
8-9am
This morning flow wakes our bodies deliciously and sets us up for the day with better aligned posture and integrity in the fascial wetsuits we move around in! Better for bodies experienced with yoga-like movement.
Both classes are great for lymphatic health as the lymph system lives in our fascia. Dense fascia compresses nerves and blood circulation (think chronic pain and tension,) so it does with lymphatic vessels and all organs for that matter. Everything improves when we free our fascia to support blood and lymphatic circulation.
Please join us!
Register: www.ncrd.org become a member or purchase class pass punchcard.
www.seadreamyoga.com Pay drop-in rates or save 40% when you buy a studio class pass. I’m also able to invite one person for free each class. If you’d like to try a class at Sea Dream, please message me to confirm which date you’d like to attend and I’ll confirm your free trial class.
Thank you!
