MUSICAL STORYTIME FOR PRESCHOOLERS AT THE MANZANITA LIBRARY

Submitted By: sdawagner@icloud.com – Click to email about this post
Musical Storytime, a monthly hands-on musical instrument experiences for local preschool children, will be held on Monday, January 13th at 10:00
a.m. at the North Tillamook Library in Manzanita. The event will be repeated on Thursday, January 16th at 10:00 a.m. in the Kids Make Theatre classroom at the Liberty Theatre in Astoria in partnership with the Astoria Library and Liberty Theatre. This month’s story, Owl Babies, is
a delightful children’s classic – a gentle tale of three baby owls celebrating the bond between mothers and their children. With stunning illustrations and a live accompaniment by North Oregon Coast Symphony musician Shelley Loring on flute, children and parents alike will enjoy the happy ending. Children will learn more about the flute and piccolo as Loring demonstrates her instruments. Children will be able to play a wind instrument after the story. This event is free and open to children ages 3-5
and their adults.
The North Oregon Coast Symphony, North Tillamook Library, and Astoria Library have formed a partnership to bring live music and hands-on musical instrument experiences to the northern coast of Oregon. For more information please visit NOCS website nocsymphony.org.
