Burton splitboard and skins for sale

Submitted By: terrafaith108@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
I have a used Burton 162 S-Series Splitboard and brand new Voile skins for sale — the board sells new for around $550, the skins were new at around $200; I’d love to sell both for $250.

In addition to the board and skins, I have a snowboard helmet, Burton gloves, Patagonia snowboard pants, goggles, and a few different types of jackets (fleece, raingear, etc). All of this has worked for me as a medium-build woman.

The board has seen some life but with the new skins it’s a great set-up for winter adventures. I have another ad with some additional snow/mountain/climbing gear so please keep an eye out for that if you wanna create a little bundle.

ISO Yarn Ball Winder

Submitted By: dawnalexeast@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Hi there! I’m picking up crochet again after years of not doing it. I had a yarn ball winder years ago, but it either got given away or lost. I’m willing to pay for one, but most of everything somewhat affordable is sold on Amazon. Which I simply refuse to give money to.

If there are any knitter’s, crocheters, spinners, etc out there with an extra or simply one they don’t want anymore, I’d love to give you a bit of money for it.

Thanks for reading!

PROTEST RALLY IN NEHALEM, SATURDAY

Submitted By: pattyrinehart@nehalemtel.net – Click to email about this post
A protest is scheduled in Downtown Nehalem on Saturday, June 28th from noon to 2 PM. The weather will be improved this week compared to last. While global events continue, the situation is still unresolved, but there is hope for a sustained cease-fire. Diplomatic efforts are vital in these negotiations.

Last week, a significant amount of food was collected for the North Tillamook County Food Bank (NTCFB). It is important to continue this initiative. Donating items like canned food, boxed macaroni, canned meats, cereals, or other non-perishable goods is encouraged. More information can be found on their website www.northtillamookcountyfoodbank.org. Donations can also be sent to NTCFB, PO Box 162, Wheeler, Oregon, 97147. The phone number at the food bank is 503-368-7724, where you can leave a message. Boxes for donations will be available in Nehalem during the protest.

The protest aims to be peaceful. Avoid engaging with harassers. No negative incidents have been reported in Nehalem or Manzanita protests. Attend with a positive attitude.

It may be warm on Saturday, so dressing in layers is suggested due to the possibility of cool winds. Participants are recommended to bring a chair, a flag, a sign, and invite others to join. Communicating with others about the protest is important to ensure participation. Speak up and speak out to your friends and neighbors.

Thank you to everyone involved in whatever way you can be.

Best regards,

Patty

GENERAL INTEREST ,HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE

Submitted By: tevisdiii@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
The gist of the article linked below is that the United States Of America, it’s people, have allowed themselves to be deluded by material comfort and the belief that we have been participating in a democratic system, presenting ourselves as exceptional bearers of the torch of freedom when the hard historical facts show that right from the beginning, our nation has pursued Empire, above and beneath all else. It has left a bloody trail and sown seeds which have been decades coming to fruition and now, we need to honestly look in the mirror and see what we have become in the eyes of the world.

Power hungry hounds leapt ahead as industry rolled into the twentieth century and by the end of the world wars, empire had gone electric, presenting itself as the world leader, showcasing itself as THE model of representative democracy while installing a grid of military bases and business friendly autocrats around the globe and now, here we are, just like so many empires before; crumbling from within for being abandoned, and rebellion from without by those who were shackled by either the pen or the bullet.

Red or blue, it hasn’t mattered. Greed and avarice will wear any coat that works, and all of us, to varying degrees, participate, knowingly or not.

Read the article. How much can you disagree with.
