Handyman Needed for Washer Repair

Submitted By: janbehrs@hotmail.com – Click to email about this post
I have a Samsung VRT washer. It stopped in the middle of a spin cycle and there was a burning smell. The internet says this could be as simple as needing a new belt. The appliance repair place I called told me that it could also be something more serious and I should just junk it and buy a new washer (it is likely 20 years old). However, I would hate to just dump it without trying to fix it, if the fix is as simple as replacing the belt. Do any handymen or handywomen out there know how to replace a belt in a washer and willing to do so? If it’s something more serious, OK, I can junk the washer. But if it’s just the belt, what a waste that would be! Repairing it would be so much more sustainable. Thank you.

Two strong guys to place kiln on rolling rack

Submitted By: Artwithmisskaren@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
My kiln has a new location in the garage that requires a heavy duty rolling rack so it can be pulled away from the walls when it’s being fired. I purchased the rolling rack a few months back. I just can’t get the kiln off the wooden trolley used to move it to & from storage…… on to, the final resting place otherwise known as the “expensive rolling rack”
It’s probably about 10 minutes work for two strong guys. The lid can probably be removed to lighten the load some. But the kiln can’t be dismantled into sections because of the programming panel attached.

Let me know if you’re interested and what your charge. Thanx a million

Looking for flooring, possible leftovers or salvage from your flooring projects.

Submitted By: Artwithmisskaren@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
I never got flooring Down in my little cottage. So I’m on painted sub floors. A friend suggested that since the rooms I needed to do were so small maybe someone had leftovers or salvage. They don’t need to be all the same flooring.

My living room/kitchen area needs 346 square feet.

My bedroom needs 200 square feet

My studio loft needs 240 square feet.

So if you hav want carpet, wood or laminate flooring you will not likely be using and it will work for any of these space I’d be grateful for your consideration.

Need 2 strong guys to move some furniture

Submitted By: erikahalperin@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
We need two strong men to load a few pieces of furniture into a trailer on Sunday May 4th (a couple armchairs, an outdoor dining set, and a wood bookcase). This is in Manzanita. Total job should take no more than one hour.

The outdoor dining table is the heaviest item at 120 pounds, but there is some tight maneuvering around a corner and down a single flight of stairs.

We would prefer to hire two guys together rather than arrange this separately with one person at a time.

If interested, please contact me via text or call to 503-560-8994 and let me know what your hourly rate is for two guys.

Again this is for Sunday May 4th, mid to late morning in Manzanita.

Thank you!

Hey BBQ’ers!
Trav and I are collecting baskets for a Trash Bash art project. We need A LOT. Size, shape, color and type matter not. I will pick up baskets from you in Manzawheelem or you can drop them off at the store Thursday-Monday, 12-6.
They may or may not remain the same after the reimagination process, so we won’t be returning your baskets.

Tips on cellular co’s and wifi too

Submitted By: tevisdiii@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
We are seeing that having Verizon is a very spendy cellular phone company. We have Spectrum for wifi and are thinking of switching everything there for half the price.
My question to the community is: Does anyone have a lead on a company that does wiifi and cellular in a bundle that you have had a good experience with? Or is it just all the same with varying prices? We are in Arch Cape.
I’m stumped. Feel free to text or email if you have any inspired thoughts. Thanks BBQ land.

Looking for small, cozy rental

Submitted By: croweanne70@gmail.com – Click to email about this post
Hello, everyone!
I’m looking for a small, cozy place to rent in or near Seaside, starting early May.

I have two sweet, well-behaved senior dogs, so pet-friendly is needed.
Just looking for something simple and comfortable, — a studio, 1-bedroom, or small cottage would be perfect.
If you know of anything available or have any leads, feel free to message me.
I work locally, am looking forward to settling in, getting involved with my new community, doing volunteer work and making Seaside home.
Thanks so much!
